What's the measurement of the plate that attaches to the wall? and the distance between the top and bottom screw in one of the plate? Thank you.

about 7 1/8" from top to bottom of the plate. about 6 1/4" from middle of top bolt to middle bottom bolt in the plate.

The wall plates are so short that I'm afraid it will not hold on a wall of a 1930's apartment building. Any experiences here? Screws also seem short.

I myself, placed a 1x4 across the studs and screwed it into the 1x4.

does it come with a safety wedge ?

how tall in the mount that the bolts go into? Looks like about 6 inches?? I plan to bolt this to a metal bar

I bolted mine to a piece of 2 by 10 lumber and then to a brick wall. Anything smaller would not work, also board is about 3 feet long
