**Q: Does it work for water**
A: It says in the description that it works for water. I've been using it for automotive antifreeze for over 6 months now and not a single problem.

**Q: will this pump liquid soap?**
A: I feel it should, I use it to pump an anti-foam liquid that is about the same viscosity as liquid soap.
