When you open the package you get a distinct smell of baking powder, and they must be loaded with it because they rise well in the oven and are light and fluffy. I brush the tops with a little melted butter before baking and I prefer the end result over Popeye's biscuits, which are too dense and doughy for my taste. These are perfect. I've been using water to mix the dough, I might try buttermilk at some point but they're excellent just using water. The dough rolls out beautifully and handles easily. This mix makes it so simple and fast to have hot biscuits for dinner or to have them for breakfast with a dab of preserves. For the price and the volume involved it's a bargain. Review: Good product - that you send out these questionaires a bit early. I got the product last night, I haven't had any time to even open the box. That being said, it is a good product that I have ordered before. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B004WLWU42 | | Age Range Description | All Ages | | Baking Mix Variety | Biscuit Baking Mix | | Best Sellers Rank | #151,421 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ( See Top 100 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ) #59 in Biscuit Mixes | | Brand | Krusteaz | | Brand Name | Krusteaz | | Container Type | Box | | Cuisine | American cuisine | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 388 Reviews | | Flavor | Buttermilk | | Item Form | Mix | | Item Package Weight | 2.36 kg | | Item Weight | 5 pounds | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Package Size Name | 5 Pounds | | Package Weight | 2.36 kg | | Set Name | 5 Pounds | | Size | 80 Ounce (Pack of 1) | | UPC | 041449100005 | | Unit Count | 80 Ounce | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Krusteaz - **Flavor:** Buttermilk - **Item Weight:** 5 Pounds - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Unit Count:** 80.0 Ounce ## Images ![5 Pounds Krusteaz Buttermilk Biscuit Mix (One Unit) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81qn4FPMWGL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 lbs is a lotta biscuits.... *by S***O on May 8, 2020* I love these Krusteaz Professional mixes (already have a box of their sweet cream pancakes, which are superb). I had for years been using a competitor's brand, and which had been used by my family going back several generations. (My Grandmother had a small cafe on the Gulf of Mexico and used to serve fresh homemade biscuits to the fisherman who visited her cafe on a daily basis using these competitors brand biscuit mix) Now, I have found Krusteaz Buttermilk Biscuit Mix, which to my surprise was even easier to make and my first batch, cooked in my Ninja XL Airfryer, came out so crispy and fresh, I had to write this review to share my excitement. I still love my competitor's biscuit mix, but not having any of their biscuit mix I wanted to try Krusteaz Buttermilk Biscuit Mix. I'm so happy to purchase the Krusteaz Buttermilk Biscuit Mix. By purchasing the 5lb. box I have enough mix for a couple of months, which is good since after retirement I now live on a budget. ## Frequently Bought Together - 5 Pounds Krusteaz Buttermilk Biscuit Mix (One Unit) - 5 Pounds Krusteaz Sweet Cream Pancake Mix Just Add Water - Krusteaz Light & Crispy Belgian Waffle Mix No Artificial Flavors, Colors, or Preservatives 28 Ounce (Pack of 3) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/26274170-5-pounds-krusteaz-buttermilk-biscuit-mix-one-unit](https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/26274170-5-pounds-krusteaz-buttermilk-biscuit-mix-one-unit) --- *Product available on Desertcart Saudi Arabia* *Store origin: SA* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
