## Description

The Thule T2 Pro XT Platform Hitch Add-On doubles the storage of the T2 Pro XT hitch rack’s bike capacity. With this extension kit, you can mount two additional bikes, and switch between a 2 and 4 load capacity as needed. The bike rack tilts down for rear vehicle access and up when not in use. (Compatible with 2” receiver only, Thule T2 Pro XT hitch rack sold separately).

Review: Great product no fitting issues - I was hesitant to buy the add on due to reviews. Mine came in I had no fitting issues, no wd40 to spray, no miss alignment or anything. Very easy setup, have yourself a long 4mm hed wrench for the center handle bolt. If you back tire fell off dragging your bike; make sure you installed the stoppers at each end! The rack is awesome. It’s big, it’s heavy, been using the rack for a long time. I have road, all mountain, plus bikes and fat bikes, just got the add on. For obvious reasons this is for a class 3 hitch. The add on will likely fit to your Thule rack (1 1/4 hitch) but will likely exceed tongue weight. It’s for a 2 inch/class 3 hitch/receiver. Consider; The rack roughly 52-54 ish Add on 34lbs ish Bike x4 30lbs (all mountain) 120lbs Tongue weight maybe 230 now. Edit: after extended use id caution using this, it’s so heavy I think it stresses the rack a lot. I haven’t had much issues, I’ve rebuilt the latch mech as it broke. Still an amazing add on, still recommend it. It’s very heavy and gets in the way. I’m keeping my rack as a 2 bike and using the roof rack for extra bikes now for the times I need 4

**Q: In nov. 2016, i purchased the thule 9034 t2 pro on amazon. will this two bike add on work with it? if not, which thule add-on will?**
A: Thanks for checking with Thule.  Can you verify if it is the XT version?  If so, you would purchase the Thule 9036XTS if silver color or 9036XTB if black color.  Thanks again for checking with us.

**Q: Does this add on work with the t2 pro? the non xt one?**
A: Thanks for checking with Thule and good question.  Regretfully the XT add on version will not work with old 9034 versions.  Amazon should still have some 9036 (non XT) versions still in stock.

**Q: I understand that this is for a 2" hitch. No question there. However what isn't clear of if this add-on fit with attaching to the t2 pro xt 1.5" base**
A: No, original bike rack must be t2 pro xt 2" base.

**Q: will it handle the heavy electric bikes?**
A: The 2 bike rack is rated for 60 pounds, so I would think that the 4 bike setup (2 bike add-on) would hold maximum of 120#.  So, the answer is that it will probably handle an electric bike or two but no more than 120# max.   Do not take my word for this.  Check with Thule.

I was hesitant to buy the add on due to reviews. Mine came in I had no fitting issues, no wd40 to spray, no miss alignment or anything. Not sure why all the 1 stars say poorly designed and difficult to assemble. Start to finish I dont think it took my son and I even 15 minutes to assemble. Everything lined up perfectly and had 0 problems. Very solid.
