This cable has been a lifesaver. I can't believe I got it for under 5 dollars. I got this cable originally just for the ability to use it for SNES, N64 and gamecube (They all use same connection), but this cable has an added bonus of both PS2/XBOX 1 connections. I had my sights on getting a MONSTER gamecube cord (its purple), but they are hard to find and are so pricey ($60 average). I was willing to pay that much just for the upgrade in video quality for my retro systems, and it only had one connection for nintendo consoles, where as this has a PS2 and XBOX 1 connection.There are other S Video cords out there that claim to give this kind of picture quality, but they are mostly junk. Just look at many of the reviews, a lot of cables with S video produce black lines, checkerboard patters, and all sorts of nasty game ruining video junk. Some cables have backwards wiring of pins, "the chroma and luma signals are not correct on these cables and it results in an annoying checkerboard pattern". Most of all the other cables on amazon had a review with this similar issue. So I was determined to save up for the MONSTER gamecube cord.But then I found this cable. It had more stars than all of those other junk cords and I thought maybe this would be worth a try. It only cost me around 4 dollars so I figured I'd bite the bullet and get one based on the other reviews. And miraculously I discovered to my delight that THIS WAS THE ONE. The cord delivers beautifully on the promise of enhanced video quality with S Video. I hooked up my SNES and was floored by how crisp it looked on my Sony Trinitron.BUY THIS CABLE if you want high quality video on your retro systems for cheap! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Cable Works Great! Does exactly what it's supposed to do. *by P***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2015* This product does exactly what it's supposed to do:it enables you hook-up your Snes, N64, GameCube, Xbox, Xbox 360, Ps1, Ps2, or Ps3 to either Composite Video, or S-Video ONE AT A TIME, do not try to plug more than one game console in at a time; it will not work properly.I bought this product so I would have an all purpose cable that would work across mutiple consoles, but specifically to get the best picture out of my Snes, and Gamecube for the price (The GCN Digital Component Cables are super $$$, and going RGB SCART is best for SNES but that's also $$$) so at this price you can't go wrong.FYI for anyone wondering S-video does work on SNES and it looks way better than composite, but it DOES NOT work on the newer model SNES, only the old fat boxy one. So if you're experiencing trouble with this cables S-Video portion used on newer model SNES there's your answer.I also tested this cable on my Ps2 enlieu of getting the superior Component Cable and it also looks far superior to the Composite video portion included. I have not yet used this cable on a Ps1, but Iimagine it would be a marked inmprovement over composite in that instance as well.In Summary: this cable is your best option for Snes and Gamecube; unless you want to spend crazy money. With the Xbox, and Playstation it's a different story, Component cable for Xbox, and Playstation are available and relatively inexpensive (the exception being Ps1; S-video is your best bet there, component looks like doo-doo). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works with the Nintendo 64! My daughter has been playing my Nintendo 64 that I bought before she was even born (13 years ago!). She loves it, but the cable started going out a couple months ago. We would wiggle it this way and that, and sometimes get the signal back. Then finally a few days ago it went out completely. I looked up a few Nintendo 64 replacement cables on Amazon and they had bad reviews. One person mentioned in their review that they should have just bought one of these Universal cables instead. So I tracked this one down, and boy am I glad I did.As soon as we plugged it in, it worked! No more wiggling of cables and trying not to bump anything to prevent losing the signal.
