Absolutely transformed my torch
This Led bulb transformed my filament Maglite to an amazingly bright torch! And at a cost of ₹900! A new LED maglite costs around 10k, but with this small cost I have saved a lot and also got a quality product.

Yes.Saved a Maglight from the dump
This simple 2 minute change saved a 20 year old Maglite from the dump. Turned a feeble 3 C-cell light from a dim, sad mess to a bright useful tool. Instant install and perfect performance.

Makes an old MagLite ALMOST new
I inherited an older MagLite that uses 3 D-cells. It's certainly a well made piece of equipment but the light output from the incandescent bulb is dismal. I have a $7 pocket LED light that uses a pair of AAA batteries that's more powerful. I bought this bulb so I could try to bring the old MagLite up to speed. And I did-- sort of. I didn't check the light output before and after, but I'd guess the bulb is well over 2X the brightness of the incandescent. I also didn't check power consumption but I expect the LED will give a significant boost in battery life. Is it as bright as other LED flashlights? No. There's a bunch of LED lights out there that are both less expensive and more powerful than a MagLite. I have a 6V Energizer lantern that cost something like $13 when I bought it a few years ago. That lantern is brighter than the MagLite with the conversion bulb, and it's also way cheaper if you have to start from scratch. But I didn't start from scratch, and I suspect that most people buying this bulb won't either. They will have bought a MagLite at a garage sale, or found one in a family member's garage (like I did), or have one that they bought new years ago when LEDs were for on/off switches and not for flashlights. They'll want to update something that they already have, and this bulb is ideal for that. My new MagLite isn't as bright as one of the inexpensive LED lights that are so common now, but it will survive some pretty severe levels of abuse and still throw a pretty decent beam of light. It went from a doorstop to a tool that's worth using with one simple change.

Perfect for extending life of my old 4 D-cell MAGLITE
My MAGLITE is 40+ years old, and is not the flashlight I typically reach for, due to its size, weight and (low) brightness. But this < $9 LED upgrade has improved the light output significantly, and is well worth the price. It fits perfectly where the incandescent bulb once sat. Modern LED flashlights (even cheap ones) are still much better overall, but If you want to keep your old MAGLITEs functional, this is a great, inexpensive upgrade.
