I now have two of these
I am a computer scientist that has been using Seagate HDDs, as well as other brands, for decades. This is the second of this particular drive that I have bought. I can't remember when I got the first one, but it has probably been 10 years or close to it. I have had no issues with it and it is also the 2TB drive. I got this one to replace an older Seagate that is only 500GB, and I ran out of room on it. That drive is maybe 15 years old and has no issues either. I just ran out of free space. The Seagate drives have lasted a very long time in my experience with them.

この製品を2021年5月10日に購入しました。そして、ノートパソコン内のファイルと常に同期させてバックアップを取っていました。そして、2025年1月4日、正月早々に、ノートパソコンのストレージ(SSD1TB)が故障しました。bios画面で内蔵ストレージが(none)不在と表示され、認識されなくなりました。パソコン本体内のデータは取り出せなくなりましたが、幸い頻繁にデータを外付けHDDにも保存していたお陰で新しいパソコンで以前のデータが使えるようになりました。このHDDは購入からすでに３年以上経過していますが、健在です。動作も静かです。SSDほどの速度はありませんが、バックアップ用としては大容量で安価なのがメリットです。
