Fabric left with a more stained look than dyed. No consistent colour. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked on my faded waterproof coat. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 5 April 2026* Fantastic!! I have a rather expensive B****** Rain coat that is (was!!) extremely sun faded in areas. Even the company itself said it couldn't be fixed.So after some research i found this. I didn't follow the instructions exactly. I pre washed the coat with some dish soap to try and remove the waterproofing on it. I then filled a bucket with a couple of kettles of boiled water, some white vinegar and half the bottle of rit dye. I soaked the coat for about 2 1/2 maybe 3 hours stirring every 30 minutes. I then rinsed it in the sink and washed twice in the machine to remove excess dye. It's been dried overnight and although it isn't as black as it was, it is definitely a graphite colour and looks as good as it ever did! There's no staining to the gold fastners, zip or logos. This £7.99 dye has rescued my favourite coat when it was close to going in the bin!! I am so glad i tried it.
