Usable line very low to the ground!
This tool is amazing. So far I have used it to level sill plates on my workshop floor, where the concrete slab is sloping significantly. Setting the level on the floor about 8 feet back from the wood, I found it could project the laser line onto a 2x4 plate sitting directly on the concrete floor. The line is pretty close to the top of the wood but it's absolutely usable for levelling. (Also because of the auto-levelling the fact that the unit was itself not level on the slab was no problem.) Having a usable line so low was a nice surprise. It wasn't clear to me based on the position of the laser window on the device whether it would be able to project the horizontal line so low to the ground. It made this particular levelling job easier and gave me high confidence in the results. Looking forward to using it for everything now going forward! (I guess I probably need a stand.)

Faultless. Reliable, built to last. A game changer. Well done DeWalt.
A fantastic piece of kit. Expensive. But it's a fantastic piece of kit. Superb construction standards. Totally reliable. At first I checked every horizontal line with a spirit level. I soon gave up because the this DeWalt was bang on every time. Millimetre perfect. The red beam is highly visible indoors. Have not tried it outdoors yet. The self-levelling capability is crucial and works brilliantly. I have been tiling a large bathroom with complete confidence using this this device. All I can say is this: once you have used this, you will wonder how you ever managed without it. A game changer. I can't comment on other brands but wherever you look for reviews you will find that this is regarded as a 5 Star product. I agree.
