You can have those separated by creating different Vlans.

Does the router support layer 3 services like NAT?

Yes, it is a fully fledged L3 routing device. I have one running as the gateway on our gigabit fiber connection replacing the ISP provided gateway, I also have edgerouter devices (all edgerouter devices share the same OS but slightly different throughput and switching capacity, it's based on debian/vyatta) deployed for business purposes as VPN concentrators and branch devices.

What is the difference between sfp and rj45? why would sfp be useful ?

SFP=Small form-factor pluggable transceiver. It is a standard that allows different modules to be plugged into the port, allowing things like fiber connections or another RJ45 ethernet port.
