Additionally, the Walabot DIY Plus has embedded Teflon strips for a smoother scanning experience. **Q: Is it true that the app forces you to enter your google account and PW, to share your data with foreign companies, or else you cant use it?** A: The Android phone will require you to log in so you can get the app from the Play store. The Walabot app does want you to login either by allowing your Google account to connect or you can create a Walabot account. I chose the Walabot account route. As far as to where the data goes I do not know. I do know it's a great product and app and works great. I have the Walabot DIY (not plus) and it is an invaluable tool and works better than much more expensive stud finders. **Q: Does it work through tile?** A: The Walabot DIY Plus is not able to detect accurately through tile at this time. Man muss aber wissen, dass der USB-OTG Modus des Smartphones aktiviert werden muss. Daran scheiterte es bei mir zunächst. Der Support von Walabot antwortet mir aber bereits nach unglaublichen 20 Minuten 👍 und wies mich darauf hin. Die Funktion habe ich bisher an unseren Holzständerwänden getestet. Balken und auch lose verlegte Kabel werden zuverlässig erkannt. Ich bin sicher, dass mir der Walabot noch eine sehr große Hilfe sein wird.
