I do a lot of my workshops at different locations, and I sometimes have to use other people’s computers to present. With the other version, there was a gaping hole in the unit which made it impossible to forget if I hadn’t removed the USB before leaving. Now, it’s so much easier to forget to grab the USB at the end of the workshop. It’s also about the size of a thumbnail, so it’s much more likely to go missing. I also know from having kids who constantly open and close the battery compartments of our remote controls that repeated opening and closing leads to a loose latch. That hasn’t happened yet because I have only used it a dozen or so times so far, but I can see it coming.I also don’t like the on/off switch. I know I will get used to it eventually, but right now, I keep thinking something is wrong and that the batteries are dead or the unit won’t sync with the computer.I gave 3 stars because functionality is the same. It does a great job with the pointer and with advancing the slides.
