Universal 12GA Tactical Shotgun Side Saddle Shell Holder Polymer. Picatinny Rail Holds 5 Shotgun Shells 2 3/4" - 3" Weaver Mount Universal 12GA Shotgun Shell Holder High Strength Glass Filled Polymer Attaches Via Picatinny Rail Ultra-Lite, only 3oz Review: Some of the previously described problems seem to have been fixed - Great side (top for me) saddle for my Warhammer shotgun rail. Sits low enough that it doesn't interfere with the flip up sights or red dot I have on the unit. While there are two shell holders that are tighter than the others, they are not too tight for use. I think they have loosened stuff up a bit from previous versions. For instance, one user said they would load up 10 shells front to front. I don't think that would work anymore, they would fall out, except the two in the middle. Review: It works, I use it a bit unorthidox, but usable... - I received the product and thought it did look a lot like a toy and didn't care for its initial appeal. It is VERY easy to install, the button pushes smoothly without any drag or friction, slides on and off like butter so very good for high speed low drag installation. Now the one thing that did bother me the most, however can be a positive, two of the slots are VERY tight. I had to pry the shells out of the slots, they are two of the inside holders. This is probably due to the design because where the rail mount is does not offer any flexibility of the plastic and once in, they don't come out. I fixed this however by installing one shell on top and bottom, only pushing the shell in half way to keep them from being too snug. This method worked very well, I shot the gun in this configuration and had no problems, they didn't fall out and if they did, it was going to take a bit to accomplish that. Anyone else who experiences this same problem, try this technique and you will have a five shot holder with seven shells instead. Enjoy

Perfect shell holder
Perfect item for shells. Could not find this for 20 ga , so I bought 12 ga holder. Cut thin pieces of carpet material for cushion/spacer, verified for tight fit then glued. Perfect! I like the quick release of the shell holder from a picatiny mount. It also gives you options for sliding forward or back to adjust to your preference. It is also possible to put two shells in one slot , one up one down. I am buying another , would recommend

Too tight. Cheap. Not worth it.
Get something else. These holders are too small. Far to tight to force a shell into. Im using airsoft shotgun shells and the hole is so small that when i do get them in the holder bows to make room. I cant imagine how difficult it will be to get them back out. And to pull on it while its mounted i could definitely see this thing snapping without much force.

Great Idea, Poorly Executed
Package arrived quickly. Attempting mounting in two different picatinny rail positions on a Beretta 1301 Tactical, but the carrier rattled and wiggled after install in both instances. I have not attempted using this item on the range but I don't trust that it wouldn't move around or come dislodged during live fire operation.

Modified for paintball use.
I bought this to hold 12 grams on my KP3 paintball marker. A few strips of electrical tape and it worked fine. I then found having 5 12ies on the front of my marker was a bit of a pain in the but but its still cool none the less.

Excellent product - the pictures don't do it justice
This worked great for me. This product attaches easily using Velcro strips. It's also pretty flexible / modular in the sense that you can easily set it up for 6 shotgun shells (for a standard sized shotgun) or for 4 shells for a smaller gun / receiver. It's made with a solid metal construction and holds the shotgun shells very securely. This is the best option for this type of product that I've found.

Very tight on the 2 shell holders connected to the rail attachment
Didn't know what to expect for the price but this was exactly what I was looking for: rail-mounted shell holder for my shotgun. The first 2 shell holders work just fine, as does the last 1, but the 2 shell holders that were directly in front of the rail attachment had no flexibility with holding shells and that makes it a serious pain to try and push the shells out. Holds onto them just fine, but very impractical with quick-reload actions because of how tight they hold those two shells. I'll be take a sanding brush to the insides to try and give more wiggle room for the shells to move around and be pushed out more easily.
