A: Thank you for your inquiry. The vehicle you are referring to was built for a foreign market and cannot be read by our tools.

**Q: Will it turn off the check engine light?**
A: When dealing with an OBD 1 car, the 3123 will not turn off the check engine light. Disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, up to 15 minutes in some cases, will clear the codes. However, if the problems were not fixed, they will come back and set the service engine soon light.

**Q: so where does it show the codes at? I have an OBD2 that is right on the reader, this one doesnt have a screen, and will it work on a 96 chevy silverad**
A: Thank you for your question. No, the 3123 will not work with a 1996 Chevy. The 3123 scan tool only works with most 1981 to 1995 vehicles. 1996 and newer vehicles use OBD2 scan tools.
