They are used but have no sign of goin bald yet! They hold up perfectly while on dirt or off road in general. Definitely worth the money. They are very functional! Review: Make sure you check your measurements! Better for bikes without fenders, but still great tires! - This brand was recommended to me by a bike mechanic and he was right— these are great tires for a reasonable price! However, they didn’t work on my bike that has fenders because the tires are so fat— I ended up having to buy some smaller tires for that bike. Then I used these on a bike build that I was working on that didn’t have fenders and they fit great!

Good replacement for a mountain bike tire
My grandson is enteren into the Michigan Special Olympics cycling event this September so my daughter purchased a bike but it came with mountain bike tires on it and the event is for the road. We went everywhere just to fine a road tire with no success and then went on line to Amazon and we were able to replace his 24 X 1.95 tires with 24 X 175 road tires and they are working out just great. So if you are looking to replace your tires The place to go is Nigara Cycle Works they have every tire that coul;d ever be needed for the casual rider to the avid cyclist who needs to replace them for either a faster or smoother ride. After replacing the tires my Grandson was able to take time for the events he is entered in the 1k, 3k & 5k races. From mountain bike tires 33 minutes for the 5k to road tires and 28 minutes for the 5k and just by changing the tires.

Looks great on my old custom Schwinn
Size ordered fit perfectly paired with new Bell 20×1.75-2.25 tubes on 20" 28H Araya rims. They look so good, it almost makes me want to dismantle and refurbish the rest of this bike my dad and I built almost 30 years ago.

Good 20" front tires for a low riding trike
This is the tire I have been looking for to put on the two front wheels of my trike. What it has is tread parallel to the direction I'm going, making them track very well. I can take my hands temporarily off steering without pulling to one side or the other, which I find is problematic with tire tread patterns that do not have a parallel to the road tread. Plus it's a thinner tire making it lighter, and without the diagonal or knobby tread patterns there's less friction with the road surface. I'm quite pleased with the way my ride has improved.

Do not "tire" now from roll resistance.
Placed on my wife's mountain bike since we do very little mountain bike terrain riding. They provide much better rolling resistance on paved roads than the knobbie tires that were on the bike. We have also taken them on some dirt roads and trails with out much slipping and sliding. I'm sure they would not do well in very soft or sandy surfaces. I will try and update review later to provide tread wear information. The tire lists the recommended pressure at 45PSI on the top side. You will get better rolling resistance with more air pressure however. I have put 55 PSI in each tire with out any issues and with less leg strain on the peddles. I would actually feel comfortable taking them up even higher. Just make sure that you have a good tube that can handle the pressure. When mounting any new tires, always be sure to fill it partially with air and roll the tire with some pressure on it to make sure the bead seats properly. Do a visual inspection of the bead on both sides and press on the side of the tire if there appears top be a seating issue. If the tube is sticking out between the bead and the rim, release the air pressure, tuck the tube in and start the process over from the beginning. When everything looks okay, continue to inflate tire to its proper air pressure.

Don't put these on an Electra
The quality isn't quite there if you have a nice cruiser. They don't have the same balloon tire appearence or width and were a little too large in diameter so it was tricky not to pinch the tube when first inflating the tire. They would be great for a lower quality or beater cruiser though. I ended up buying tires from Electra and giving these away; it's worth the extra money.

Long Term Test
Bought these almost two years ago (i'm back looking at them because they are starting to crack on the sidewalls..and i'm considering ordering another set , but they are still holding up) to replace the 2.125 knobby mountain bike tires on my wife's bike(i got the 1.75 because that was the smallest ones that the tubes would allow) . They provide a comfortable ride with greatly reduced rolling resistance compared to the MT tires. So if you need a good street tire this is probably the best bang for your buck you'll find on here.
