Judging it too harshly feels unreasonable. But since people do read bin reviews, here's an honest one.This bin looks good, fits a standard kitchen bin bag, and the liner retention ring actually works well, which sounds trivial until you've wrestled a slipped bag out of a cheaper bin. It makes it look tidy too and keeps the bin bag tucked away. The coating is useful in a busy kitchen and better than a shiny finish that would end up covered in fingerprints.Battery life has been better than expected; we've had it running on the same set of AAs for a solid stretch and they're still going.The sensor is responsive, which is mostly a positive. The downside is that it will occasionally open itself if you walk past at the wrong angle. Not constantly, but enough to be mildly amusing the first few times and mildly less amusing after that.
