**Q: What is the creation process? It says isolate, microfiltered, but which technique?**
A: Hi Ron! We contacted the Product Info Dept. at NOW, and this is the answer they provided: Whey protein isolate is manufactured from sweet dairy whey using cold micro-filtration and ultra-filtration membrane technology. The product is then gently spray dried and "lecithinated" into a free-flowing powder that can be easily dispersed in water. This results in an non-denatured whey protein that is highly soluble over a wide pH range and has a very clean, bland flavor.

**Q: Since most now sports products are low quality and made in china (creatine for example) - is this also made in china?**
A: I spoke to NOW customer service on 6/20/22.  The very kind rep informed me that all their whey protein is sourced from cows in Wisconsin and always has been.  The people on here saying their whey is from China are very incorrect.

**Q: It says microfiltered, but is the whey filtered under low temperature?**
A: Yes. Now is a very reputable maker of many products. I have bought from them for about.....15 years or so. This particular protein has no flavor, but that doesn't mean it tastes bad. It just tastes, well, bland. I just put two scoops with cold filtered water, shake it in my bottle and down it. If u want flavor, I just add some of my kids strawberry Quick. I like no carb protein and this is it. Very high quality and not all the fancy price and advertising.

**Q: the package looks like a large plastic bag? Are their 2  five pound containers inside the bag?**
A: The 10 pound package is just a large bag with the protein powder in the bag, no other containers.  I keep a smaller container from a previous purchase and refill it when I get the 10 pound bag.

I was very hopeful that I had found the ultimate whey powder for myself. I wanted something that was 1) High quality, 2) All natural, 3) Free of unnecessary additives, 4) affordable, and 5) tasted good. Well, 4 out of 5 isn't bad. This is definitely a high quality powder, it has 80% less cholesterol than the GNC Pro Performance I was using, has ZERO artificial additives, and is very reasonably priced. The only complaint I have, and this isn't a huge one, is the Stevia. Now as far as alternate sweeteners go, Stevia is one of the best all-natural alternatives you can find. Unfortunately it has an aftertaste that can linger just as strong as an artificial sweetener, and the usage in this powder seems just a bit heavy-handed, especially since it does use some fructose as well. Personally I could taste the Stevia more than the vanilla. If you know you like Stevia as a sweetener, then this gets a 100% recommendation. If you are unsure, try out a stevia-sweetened drink from a health foods section and see what you think first. If you dislike the aftertaste, then do what I am going to do next time, and just pick up the Unflavored NOW Whey Protein Isolate and adjust to your own tastes. Unflavored whey powder is almost tasteless, and works great as a base for shakes of any flavor.
