I thought it was going to make my quilt more 'comforter' like. My quilt didn't turn out that way, but that is great. It is plenty warm, but not too warm at the same time ~~ the quilt is not too heavy, like they can be with cotton batting, OMG!I am still learning about battings ... it seems to me a fluffy batting would be airy and have no 'warm' property to it at all. Does not seem to be the case at all. Those thin cotton battings that seem like nothing ARE warm, eventually. I make my quilts to be used and abused :) ... and hopefully loved.I am in no way an accomplished finishing quilter, most of my work is 'in the ditch', but this time I did manage a little bit of fancy work between some blocks and this batting, which I chose for this reason, allowed me to stitch at 10" intervals - easy, no stress!. Between this super easy to work with batting and my new sewing machine, which I cannot brag on enough (bernina!), I am very pleased with the outcome. * Highly Recommend this Batting! *See attached photos of 'fluffy batting' ... first (or third as case may be) is two layers and the last one is batting with one layer of fabric.
