Hello! I have a sony bp-u30 and a sony bc-u1a charger. This replacement battery will not charge. Also one of the connecter coils looks burnt. Everyone else says theirs works, im wondering if i just got a defective battery

Don't kill me for saying this but now I prefer having these batteries than the signature ones, it costs less and it works just fine!

These batteries don't last nearly as long as the Sony originals. They are reliable for a couple hours if you need a backup. They do have working charge indicators, the camera recognizes them and I haven't had any power issues yet. With the price difference between these and Sony, I'd say they are priced correctly. I am happy I ordered this battery because I needed a cheap backup right away, but I won't depend on it forever.

I can't complain. I had this for a while but kept it off to the side because I was waiting for my Pyxis to arrive. I finally got to put it to use about a week ago and it's a decent battery for its size and output. I get about 45 minutes on the Pyxis but this is also a low wattage power battery. So far, no weird surging, power spikes, no burning, smells, or anything that shows signs of being defective or unreliable. I would recommend for cameras that have a lower power consumption like perhaps the Sony cameras but nothing like the BM camera lineup if that's what you were thinking about getting this for. But if you're a sony user, you should be pretty good. Be sure to get a charger as well because these are not compatible with NPF battery chargers.
