I was afraid the dish wouldn't hold much salad but it holds plenty- enough for 4 people and I ordered the matching salad servers as well. The Spode Salad bowl was way too expensive and large for every day use ( for one or two people). I'm very pleased with these dishes and use them for many things. These particular dishes are not made in England like my pasta set but I can live with that given how they were very affordable and of good quality.
