Buy some griddle seasoning and make sure to season the grill 4-5 times to keep items from sticking. To season, get griddle as hot as you can. Put a tablespoon of seasoning on and using a pair of tongs and a throwaway towel, evenly spread all around the grill. Leave alone til it stops smoking, then repeat 4 more times. I know they are a bit bigger?** A: 39 1/2 **Q: Is there a hinged hood that will fit this?** A: Yes there's a hinged hood that fits. **Q: What are the folded dimensions for storage?** A: The wheels are attached with thumbscrews, once you pop those off and remove the tray underneath (also thumbscrews), the legs fold up into the body of the griddle. The side table *does not fold down* though, and is attached permanently, so as far as footprint, you have to factor that in. But otherwise, if you remove the cooktop, it will all fold up into the size of the burner housing part.
