This Handle ready does screw onto the tang of a 4-6” file. Double check the pictures to confirm it is designed for your file. Mine screwed tightly onto a new triangular file making it way more comfortable to use.

You should really advertise this as a chainsaw file handle. Any flat file over 6" in length has a tang to wide to fit the threads. Kept them to use on my chainsaw files.

This appears to be for a chainsaw file. The description made me think it was for a regular flat file. I will be returning these.

Decent but don't hold the file handle extremely well.

These handles have a hard metal insert that is good for a more permanent threaded attachment to chainsaw files. These are the PH2 model and are only good for small tang files such as those used for chainsaws - preferably those with a triangular or round tang. The tang on most flat files will be too large.

Tried many types of file handles of the years. This is the best. It cuts into the tang of the file. And will not let go.

Does a good job holding on to file.

Nicholson has a reputation for making good quality files and rasps as well as related accessories such as handles. I have been very satisfied with the products I have bought i.e. files, wood rasps and handles with and without inserts.

This handle threads on well to a 4 inch Nicholson and is much like a wood handle A Nicholson. Handle quality is good and it should swap well on small files. The A handle is more permanent.
