Turtle Dock - Stainless Steel Basking Platform for Turtles (L)

We've been using a floating turtle dock for a while but the turtle is big enough (over 6 inches) to break the suction so the thing was always floating around the tank making it hard for the turtle to climb on. This one attaches securely. No more suction cup problems, gives him a nice ramp to claw up and holds his weight great! Wish we had found it sooner.

I needed to redo my pixie frogs water area, he got upgraded to a 75g from a 40g last year and was just not enjoying his deep 20g water area, so I had to redo it and modify it with a 10g plastic bin. I did have to snip, file, and add silicone to the adjustment bars to fit in it. But now he spends 95% of his week in the water sitting on this ramp. He does use it to get in and out, but also uses it to just soak in the water where he can just sit there. He does get into the water for a dunk too. My frog would give this a 20/5 if he could.

Such a shame because I had very high hopes for this one. I paid for the larger size. The hooks are too small for my tank and I also have three turtles. I had to use pliers to bend the hooks so that I could get the thing to hook onto the side of the tank. Even in then with three turtles the platform was way too small. Also for some reason the turtles kept biting on the netting material which is a big no no for me so I ended up having to take it out of the tank. This one will go back and I’ll have to spend extra money on something bigger.

its big enough for my 11 year old painted and I really like how it hangs off the side instead of using suction cups its sturdy and handles her weight well how ever i fell the metle may get to hot under the lamps though I have not seen any burns or any thing but she dose not stay and bask the wat she would before. instead she will go to the other smaller platform and hang out there.

I give it 3 stars because the plastic material covering the platform is not ideal for turtle with claws. Our pet turtle’s hind leg claw got stuck in one of the openings as she was getting back into the water and was stuck head down and completely freaked out. The next day i removed the plastic and wrapped the platform with turf. looks much better, blends in my aquarium and is very soft for my turtle. she now loves basking. I suggest replacing the plastic. otherwise, works great and better than other products out there.

I got this for my 2 huge turtles and it’s literally perfect!!! It fits only 1 of them at a time, but it’s amazing and gives them a place to rest. Installation was easy but my dad had to customize the hooks a little bit bc of our tank. We all really like it and the turtles use it every day so we know they like it too!! Very good quality as well!

Comes with legs to attach but no suction cups??? The platform does not stay and turtle can not access it because it does not stand up on its own.

So far I’m happy with this buy. Tt is 10yrs old. She has really enjoyed being able to fit on top of there and slides off. However, I noticed her claws get stuck and I also don’t like how it sticks out on the bottoms she scrapes her shell a lot on those polls underneath. If ya know how to alter things I’d say this is worth it 😉 Update. I finally added some turf tot his dock.tied it down with zip ties. One of her claws had got stuck and tore out. I could tell my poor girl was in pain. So y’all need to do this. It cost $10 here on Amazon
