I'll give it 5 stars but I've only had it a couple of days. It was pretty easy to install because there are videos on youtube showing how to install it on my Tacoma. The only problem I had was that there wasn't an open port for it on the back of my radio. I don't have a CD changer in my Tacoma but it appears that the truck was wired for the changer. I just had to take the molex plug out and plug the Bluetooth adapter into it. Another thing that was a little confusing was that there is only one 1/8" port and you plug the microphone into it. The kit comes with an 1/8" extension cable for a MP3 player or something that doesn't have blue tooth but if you use the microphone you can't plug anything else into it. You will also have to turn the volume up to it's highest level on you phone. So for it's worked great. My Samsung phone paired without any issue and it automatically does when I turn the vehicle on. I just open a music app and start the music playing. You can control the tracks and answer the phone from the steering wheel radio controls.

This thing comes with 0 instructions. There are NO videos specific to this unit or any instructions for this unit anywhere only. I was able to install it and get the bluetooth to play music from my phone, but could not get the calling function to work initially. I was able to trouble shout and find out it was a problem with my phone. The system is very simple, and with some added instructions it would have helped my troubleshooting, and caused me less headaches. It works now. I find I have to turn the volume to near max to hear calls. Problem is when you hang up it switches back to radio and if you dont remember to turn it down it blasts you with loud volume.

Installed in 15min and it works perfectly. Audio sounds great and the calls are clear. Charges my phone if necessary. The only issue is I thought there would be two 3.5mm jacks (one for the mic and one for an iPod or something), but there was only one which I used for the mic. Not a big deal because I'm using the Bluetooth anyway. Great product that I would buy again.

This item would have received a 5 star rating if not for one thing. When you go to connect to the phone there was not a visible password anywhere on the product anywhere. After several attempts to connect with my phone I was getting ready to package it up and return it. Then I saw the item description list on the box that ended with 4 numbers DCM-8500 so I figured why not just try the 8500 number to see if I would be lucky and I got lucky because it worked. If you are the ones who made this item and are reading this review please put a note in the box if you don't want future returns. Works great now.

This product worked well for a brief period of time. Now the wiring harness only plays out of the right side speakers of the vehicle. I took apart the interior to adjust the connection once, which didn't help. Now I need to purchase a new unit, from a different company, before removing this unit from our car to ensure that this will not happen again. All in all this product really doesn't last that long. That coupled with the fact that you need to remove interior panels to install this makes it completely not worth purchasing.

Works great. But is very frustrating. No instructions. And every once in awhile the whole radio and clock on my 2005 Toyota Tacoma turns off. And will stay off for about 10 minutes. It’s random when it will happen. When it does work. It works great. But it’s a real shame that it causes my radio to malfunction. Radio. And cab lights will randomly turn off and won’t turn back on for a good time.

This truly is a great product. Simple installation. Bluetooth connection to a factory radio without using a transmitter with a bunch of feedback. It sounds like CD quality when listening to music and audibly great when on a phone call.
