Eight O'Clock is my favorite Hazelnut. The whole bean lasts longer, the preground is a little more convenient. Coffee and cocoa have been scarce in grocery stores near me for several years, and I am glad Amazon can usually find some to sell.

Freshness is everything
We have been buying this coffee in stores for years but for some reason the whole bean hazelnut became very difficult to find, then we decided to take advantage of our Prime membership. Wow!! this coffee must come straight from the manufacturer because it tasted so smooth and fresh we couldn't believe it, the best we've ever had. We have now ordered the 6-pack about 4 times and it's been consistently good. We could pay a lot more for coffee but this gives us great taste and value too.

First shipment wrong, second shipment damaged
We love this coffee, have been drinking it for decades. But the quality control here is seriously lacking. Our last order came in with a sticker on the outside that said Hazelnut but the coffee inside was Columbian. Still haven't received our refund for that. We reordered and it came with all six bags sliced in the same corner, beans spilling out. No idea how long they were open to the air, but not willing to pay for stale beans that could have bugs. Got the run-around on the refund.

As a good value for a flavored bean
As a good value for a flavored bean, Eight O'Clock Hazelnut meets the needs of my wife for her morning coffee. Whole beans that are ground when used and stored properly are, IMO, a preferred method of purchasing and drinking coffee so these beans meet our needs. It depends on what kind of coffee drinker you are and how much you really value your coffee per your individual taste. Personally I am an espresso drinker and are continually trying different whole beans from many sources but I can also enjoy the 'Eight O Clock Hazelnut as a default coffee with my wife without spending the time to prepare espresso.
