Quando la musica raggiunge vette come queste mi lascia senza parole, mi toglie il fiato. Musica come questa da senso alla parola "piacere". Lasciamo stare le etichette; musica jazz o avant jazz poco importa e forse etichettare questa musica è fargli un torto. Perchè questa è musica che dovrebbero provare ad ascoltare tutti gli amanti della musica indipendentemente dal proprio genere di riferimento. Non è necessaria una cultura jazz per venire assorbiti dal "vortice musicale" allestito dai tre musicisti australiani. Classico trio pianoforte, basso, batteria che non si pone limiti. Ci trovi l'avant jazz più evoluto, incursioni post rock, echi doom, sonorità ambient e richiami alla musica elettronica degli anni 60 (Stockhausen e giù di li). trovi questo ed altro in un unico brano di 44 minuti che in realtà pare un patchwork musicale, tanti pezzettini di brani incollati tra loro in maniera che è tutto tranne che casuale.Non credo che oggi nel mondo della musica ci siano tante band in grado di competere con questi tre australiani in fatto di creatività... Da avere per aprirsi a esperienze sonore diverse.
