This is THE portable wireless/wired keyboard for any device.
I went though 3 competing portable keyboards before finally deciding to keep the iClever BK05. This is the the closest typing experience to my Macbook Pro that I could find in an ultra portable wireless keyboard. I recently built a headless server that sometimes operates as a home theater PC, attached to my home theater gaming projector. I wanted a wireless keyboard for that computer that gave me a similar experience to my Macbook, but could also operate wired via USB so that I could use it for the computer BIOS setup in the even that I decide to change my hardware, fan curves, overclocking, etc. Since I more typically use my computer headlessly with remote access from my Macbook, I knew that I wanted a small keyboard that I could stow away when not in use. This would be a perfect keyboard for an IT professional working on headless servers. The BK05 is the bare minimum in size, while still offering full size keys. The keys are nearly identical in size to my Macbook, the layout size is also almost identical. You can see the how close it is in my photo the perspective makes it looks slightly larger but it's not actually any bigger it's the same. The keystroke feeling is actually slightly better than the Macbook in my opinion. They're slightly heavier and have a more tactile, albeit still soft click. It's overall a very quiet keyboard, especially when compared to a mechanical keyboard, but it's still slightly louder than the Macbook keyboard, particularly the space key. Key actuation distance is slightly longer than the Macbook keys, but still very much a chiclet low profile key. I actually prefer this type of keyboard over a mechanical keyboard. Very nice for typing. There are a few distinct layout differences from my Macbook... namely the position of the control, command/win, fn, and alt keys, which takes some getting used to, but I'm accustomed to switching between macOS and Windows systems so it's not a problem for me. One of the features that I love most is the ability to pair with 3 devices and to be able to easily switch between them. I've setup the first device as my Macbook, the second, my Android phone, and the third my Windows PC. Pairing was fast and easy every time. The backlight is effective albeit slightly uneven. It serves its purpose just fine. The best color for visibility is the green and I also like the red for low-light typing. Charging is easy and relatively quick and I've yet to run it out of battery. I just store it away plugged into a USB cable to make sure it stays topped off. Stability is good even on a lap as long as your legs are supporting underneath the hinges and not just on the outer flaps. Feels real solid on a tabletop when the outer feet support pads are rotated out. It also feels really durable, but time will tell. I'll update if I have any issues, but there have been none so far

Good FULL SIZE folding keyboard
Overall I like this keyboard a lot. Originally got it as a travel keyboard for my iPhone/iPad and it works great for that. However I'm also using it as keyboard for my desktop quite frequently. I touch-type and am just as fast on this as on a standard keyboard. The keys have a good feel to them with some travel and the battery lasts a very long time without charging if you don't use the light-up keyboard feature. The fold-up design makes it very easy to stick in a travel bag and also protects the keys since they are on the inside when folded. If you are planning on using it in your lap, you may have some trouble with it folding as the hinges don't lock in place. You can do it, but it's not really made for that, works best on a flat surface. The other thing I really appreciate, many bluetooth devices have weird key combinations for pairing, switching and other functions. This keyboard has all kinds of special functions too, but they are printed right on the keys so you don't have to remember them. The keyboard has a windows and Mac mode and remembers pairing to 3 devices so you can switch from one device to another with a keypress. Note that this does NOT come with a mouse, touchpad or thumbstick for controlling the cursor. You will have to buy that separately. There are some similar looking keyboards that include a touchpad but these are not full size which would be a problem if you touch-type. It does include the little plastic phone stand which is fairly handy. Overall, great little device to have for a phone/tablet keyboard or a backup computer/laptop keyboard.

Keep the RGB lighting off for smooth typing.
First let me say that this is the third Iclever folding bluetooth keyboard that I've tried and tested. My first one was the BK08, that's the one with the touchpad. The next one was the BK03. I was looking to replace an older bluetooth folding keyboard that I've used for almost six years. It had a good run but some of the keys are starting to fail. Both the BK08 and BK03 keyboards were 90% keyboards, not 100% keyboards. Which means that the spacing between the keys are closer together. See Pictures 1 & 2. After putting up a review of the BK08, the manufacurer of Iclever keyboards contacted me and told me that the BK05 is the one that I would like the best because it is a true 100% spaced keyboard. So, I bought one with my own money to try it out. I will say that never have I been contacted by a manufacturer because of a review. That says something about the company right there. I will say first and foremost that the iClever BK05 is a true 100% spaced keyboard. See picture 5. In the picture the BK05 is laying on top of a regular keyboard and as you can see the keys are spaced apart as they should be. So, the spacing is there and with my practice on the BK08 and BK03, I know that the keys themselves are good decent keys. And because it is full sized, it feels really good to type on. I do like the metal frame it's made from which makes it really nice and solid and won't bend at all. After verifying that it's truly 100% spacing, I unfolded it to turn it on and paired it with my phone to try it out. Let me say that I did like the backlight on the keyboard, so I left it on. After pairing it and opening the Keep Notes App, I noticed something. There was a very slight delay between the time I pressed the key and when it showed up on the phone. While not exactly a deal breaker, the next problem is. Once every couple of minutes, the keyboard would freeze and lock up just like a computer can. It lasts about two seconds and whatever key is pressed when it happens that key will be activated for those two seconds. So, if you type, "This is a test," and the s key is pressed when it freezes, then you'll get, "This issssssss a test." Okay, now that is a problem. Being a typist and a writer, I can't keep correcting a freezing keyboard every couple to a few minutes. It was sad because I was looking forward to this keyboard and was thinking about returning it. But something was bugging me about it and after reading through the instructions again, I wondered if I had to tell the keyboard that it was connected to an Android device? Maybe that would clear it up? With that thought in mind, I tried again. After opening it up to turn it on, it paired with my phone. Then I pressed the Fn + S keys for "Android" then turned off the RGB lighting as well. And tried again. No problems at all. No delay and no freezes and no lock ups. For almost fifteen minutes straight I typed on it with no troubles at all. Great, I found the problem. So, I turned the lights back on and continued. And that's when the delay and freeze ups and lock ups came back. Now hang on, that's interesting. So on a thought, I turned the RGB lights off again. The delay and lock ups went away. I did this again and again and again. And got the same results. I always got delays and lock ups with the RGB lights on. I never got any delays or lock ups when the lights were off. That was it. The delays and lock ups were caused because the lights were on. But why? After thinking about it, I remembered that the BK08 and the BK03 don't have RGB backlights. I never had the delays or lock ups with those keyboards. This one, the BK05, does. After reading the instructions again, I noticed that the RGB lights drain quite a lot from the battery. And I remembered how it said that the unit could have a delay when the battery is low. So, I'm wondering if it's a power issue when the RGB lights are on? That the RGB lights drain so much from the battery that the bluetooth board doesn't have enough energy to operate properly? Because it operates just fine and without issues when the lights are off but has delays and lock ups when the lights are on. Power issue? In either case, I found out why the keyboard was delaying and freezing up. I had thought about returning it, but after finding out why it froze up and knowing that I just had to keep the lights off, I decided to keep it. It's a very nice keyboard, 100% full sized spaced keyboard, folds up nicely for easy storage until you need it. I've been using it for a couple of days and it feels really nice to type on. Just remember to keep the RGB lights off, so there won't be any delays or lock ups and you'll be fine. It is built really solid with nice stabilizers at the ends, so it lays nice and flat. So again, I'll keep this one and maybe after a couple of years I'll add to this review about its longevity. Because anything works fine for a little while, but how well built is it? How long will it last? Will it last the test of time? Don't know yet, but I'll let everyone know if this keyboard is still up for sale, so I'll be able to add to this review. I gave it four stars and not five because of the lights draining so much from the unit that it causes problems with typing. Even though it works fine with the lights off, some people might not figure that out like I did and might cause them to sent it back like it almost did for me. I will also emphasize that it's a good thing that the manufacturer is reading reviews and responding to them. It shows that they truly care about their products and that says a lot about a company. And I applaud the company for taking that extra step that many others won't take.

So far, I am very happy with the keyboard - the build quality is solid, it connects and functions over Bluetooth very well with my Huawei Android device - once paired, it creates a connection as soon as I open the keyboard up so there is no faffing about trying to get it connected. It also works perfectly well over USB to my MacBook (when working from home, my MacBook lid is shut as I use an external mouse/keyboard, and external monitors - the iClever keyboard is particularly handy during conference calls as it is near silent compared to my rather 'clacky' Logitech keyboard!). There is no mobile stand with this keyboard, so I recommend buying a cheap, folding stand as a companion (I bought these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0794SV8L7/ and they do the job at a sensible price). The keyboard comes supplied with a soft, faux velvet storage pouch (it's rather well made too) and there is plenty of room in the pouch to store a folding stand along with the keyboard - sorted! Other reviewers complained that the backlight is, by default, off when opening the keyboard, making life difficult when trying to use it in a darkened environment. This is now changed - every time I open my keyboard, the backlight is on by default. Personally, I'd prefer it to remember the previous state, so that the keyboard will start with the backlight in whatever state it was when the keyboard was last used (I almost always have to turn the backlight off, so it's a (minor) inconvenience). The key action is comfortable and very quiet (the LED backlight is really cool, though I wish it didn't hit the battery life quite so hard...). I'm using the keyboard as I type this review... One minor criticism; under Android, the "Esc" key currently acts like a "Home" button (indeed, it has a 'Home' icon on it!), taking me back to the phone's home screen. Personally, I think this function is not ideal. In my opinion, the "Esc" key (under Android) should perform the function of the "Back" button - this is a significant distinction. Some apps require the "Esc" key function. For example, many terminal emulator applications (e.g. JuiceSSH) make use of the "Esc" key on a hardware keyboard, but on the iClever keyboard, this exits the app and goes back to the Home screen - not useful... I have, however, discovered that I can work around this issue by using the "Win+Backspace" combination to simulate the correct "Esc" key function... One other point, when the back light is turned on, the is an extremely subtle 'buzzing' noise coming from the backlight LEDs. So far, it's not been loud enough to be annoying (you really need to be in a very quiet environment to notice it at all), but it is there, nonetheless. Clearly not a big enough issue for me to award less than five stars, though! All in all, I'm very happy with the keyboard. I travel a lot on business, so I'm constantly in and out of airports. Using the keyboard makes life far easier for keeping in touch with the office - quicker and more convenient than getting out the laptop, and then having to tether it in order to send emails, etc. Having used the keyboard for a few months now, I can happily recommend it.

This keyboard really connects fast. I can switch multiple devices without a flick of the finger. Moreover the keys are easy to use and not obstructed unlike other foldable wireless keyboards. Comes with a nice pouch and stand with good quality. No wonder it’s expensive. Worth it to save grief moving around to multiple keyboards. Absolutely loved it
