Nice and simple, inexpensive and relatively complete joycon repair / joystick & rail replacement kit! Comes with required tools, extra security (y) screws, standard OEM quality (not hall effect) thumb sticks, both joycon rails and sensor strips, and even a set of metal clips for those inclined to swap those out. Hint! The metal clips are optional, and only good if you don't drip your seotch often. The built in plastic ones have more of a give and can absorb impact of any potential falls, so your mileage may vary. :) So far, swap was good, everything works very well and slides in nice and snug - a bit tighter than the original rails, which is not a bad thing if you ask me. Would buy again as these parts take a lot of wear and tear.

This kit almost has everything you need to rebuild your switch joycons. The kit has two sizes of screwdrivers, one for the 4 screws to open the joycon, one for the inner smaller screws which is magnetic which is very helpful with the small screws. It has a small tweezer, but wish it was a little grippier, the super small ribbon cables are hard as it is to get back into their slots. But it comes with ribbon wires connected to the outer connection rail, which you get two. also two ribbons for the 4 small leds that you see on the inner connection rail. Both of these ribbons get very brittle when old, like mine were orginal joycons when the switch came out. When i just lifted the covers apart gently, they just broke in half they were so brittle. So was very happy those were included. Kit comes with 2 joysticks as well. What i think this kit should have is 2 batteries, but i just ordered them elsewhere. You can watch a youtube to see what you need to do, it's not rocket science, but since the cables are all super small, if you're not good with small delicate things, this isn't for you. Basically the ribbon connectors have a small flip up piece usually in front or on top of the connector. Flip that up and slide the ribbon out. the hard part is sliding the super small ribbon back in, it's hard to judge if the ribbon is in far enough, but just slide it in as far as you can and flip the lock on the ribbon connector down and if it locks the ribbon in place, it's probably in good enough. The Right controller has a small antenna for the wireless connection, but the battery tray has 3 screws holding it down which you have to take off to get to the joysticks. The joysticks have 2 screws which is easy to replace. The ribbon cable on the joystick is again, small and has a small lock lever on the top which you flip up and slide out. You just have to be careful for the small ribbons that hold the battery tray, those have no cracked on me yet and seem more flexible. But if you break those, you will need to buy another joycon. So overall, it's a great kit, i was able to do 4 joycons in a few hours and that's taking my super sweet time. Oh yeah, the battery has a very small gray connector, this connector just pushes down and stays in place. It's vry small as well so just hold it with the small tweezers and push it down with a pencil eraser or something small. So overall it's all doable, just tedious working with the small cables. It also comes with a couple of prying tools and a brush i guess to clean off dust. So overall, this kit is a 5 for now as it has everything i needed to rebuild most of the joycon.

I only fixed a left joycon and had leftover parts to repair a right joycon should the need arise. This worked well to repair my kids joycon which was suffering from thumbstick drift. I used all the parts for the left joycon including the new side buttons and upgraded metal locks. It helps if you already possess some phone repair skills. Repairing the joycom is similar to repairing a phone. There's many small parts and ribbon cables inside the joycon. Patients, dexterity and good lighting are needed.. at one point, the spring for the joycon lock went flying. I had a fun time crawling around on my kitchen floor for 20 minutes trying to find it. Eventually I did find the spring. Huzzah!! Then, i discovered some extra springs included in the kit. I could have easily replaced it instead. 🙄

The replacement parts all fit and function as expected. The quality of the tools could be improved.

This worked well to fix my broken joy con rail. With left over other parts if I need to fix something else. The parts look and feel just like the original. I did watch the provided instructions video, which made the process much less intimidating.

didn't;t test if they work becuase I broke some parts while trying to fix it, but the package arrive in good shape and the tools were in very good quality one day shipping also :)

This is an amazing repair kit for joy cons. I was worried about the quality looking at the negative reviews. But for the amount there is nothing out there that can come close. Breathed new life into my old joycons. Had a broken analog stick on both joycons. Replaced both analog sticks, rails and led strips that it comes with. Also changed the case while i was at it hence the color change. The parts feel of good quality and are working perfectly. Did not even need to calibrate the sticks. The provided tools were good too, a lot better than what some other kits provide. I can see why everyone was praising the tweezers, they're pretty good. Overall amazing kit. Only thing that they can add is maybe more extra screws but i had a lot from my shell replacement kit so wasn't worried about that.
