Review: Less effective if you only have 1 in your residence - I heard of this product from a new vet I just started taking my cats to. My cat usually is very tense and nervous when riding in the car or going to the vet, and this most recent visit seemed no different. Riding in the car and sitting in the waiting room, she was meowing desperately, frightened of her surroundings. However, a few minutes after bringing her to the exam room (which had a Feliway diffuser going), it all melted away. She acted so calm and sedate, she acted as if she were home. The effects lingered for the drive back, where she didn’t make a peep and just cruised along with me like a champ. Of course I was sold. I got one for our apartment in the hopes that it would calm some territory related tension between both of my cats in my small apartment. I put it in a central location- in between important resources for the cats (like food or litter) but not next to. I didn’t notice as huge a difference at home as I did in the exam room, but that is probably because of the fact it was covering more sq footage and being diffused in my apartment, which is probably a good thing because you wouldn’t want them zonked all the time. It does get quite warm so make sure it has plenty of room and won’t regularly come in contact with anything. I just got the multi cat version now in the hopes it more successfully tackles my specific problem with my cats, but all in all it seemed like a useful purchase! The only other thing I might find worth mentioning is that I think once it ran out, the cats got riled up and acted kind of agitated because of a mild withdrawal from having soothing hormones in the air 24/7. That again could just be me drawing lines between things that aren’t connected but there you have it. Tldr: It’s no panacea for every cat behavioral issue, but it is worth it. Get multiple and spread them throughout the home for best results

**Q: Can Feliway refills be used in the Comfort Zone dispensers (and vise versa, can the Comfort Zone refills fit into the Feliway dispensers)?**
A: The manufacturer specifically states not to use comfort zone with CEVA diffusers or vice versa. They may seem interchangeable but they are NOT. By experience I used comfort zone in a CEVA diffuser and noticed the product dispensing faster (changing every two weeks instead of 30 days), had to eventually replace the CEVA diffuser because the product from comfort zone has seeped out on the top of the burner. Not sure how this happened as the product was never turned upside down.

**Q: How long does it take to see results?**
A: My cat is highly anxious and meows all the time. Took her to the vet. They covered her carrier in a towel with the spray on it and I bought the diffuser. I plugged it in and set the carrier down close to it and she has spent most of her time there. No more meowing. Only marked once and a very small amount when previously it was a large amount. For us the results were pretty much immediate. We have two other cats without anxiety but they have been pretty chill since plugging it in. I will be having it sent monthly!

**Q: Does it help with cats that just won’t settle down at night? Would love to be able to sleep in the same room as my 10 week old kitten**
A: Cats ARE nocturnal, so there isn't a hormone issue here but rather a circadian rhythm disorder... As in, YOU'RE not awake during the instinctual "hunting time"! However, kittens sleep more than they are awake because growing cannot occur unless they are asleep, so you may be able to capitalize on one of those long naps with some intense rowdy play that mimics the hunting they want to do at that hour, followed by a protein rich dinner. Then, quickly get ready for bed while they're cleaning themselves after their meal, then plop them onto a super soft faux-fur blanket that's gathered into a nest shape with a heating pad underneath (not too hot!), then give them some skritches around the face a few times (mimics a mother licking them) while cooing in a soft voice, and that child will be OUT for at least 5hrs.

**Q: Were sure our cv at had begun spraying. how fan we treat this? do we need to have him fixed. how do we control the oder?**
A: Yes get him fixed!! That would help a lot!! I use vinegar and warm water in a spray bottle. And in my carpet cleaner also!!

For a week after a recent move my cat just WOULD NOT stop screaming at me when I tried to sleep. The first night after I plugged this in, he was calmer, and since the second night after he's been very chilled out. It could just be chance, and since I can't know I'd give it 5 stars... BUT... I bought this years before to calm down the same cat and it had no effect (I was just really desperate this time), so it gets 4 stars.
