It enables lateral positioning of the light for optimal clearance and tactical advantage. Lightweight at 0.6 oz and 3 inches long, this mount is 100% made in the USA, combining durability, functionality, and American craftsmanship for professional-grade weapon customization. ## Description The mount is CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodized. Includes necessary screws to attach light body to mount. Requires a T15 Torx and 5/64" Allen wrench for installation (not included). The Surefire AA Scouts and Streamlight Protac Rail Mount HL-X are not compatible because the bodies are longer and cover one mounting screw, unless you are willing to modify an L-key Allen or Torx wrench to fit between the light body and mount. BCM KeyMod screws are covered under US Patent 9377274. Made in the USA.. Top right 45 degree flat: Due to the asymmetrical body of the Surefire Scout Light, placement of the front sight and light are more critical in this setup. The smaller sights like MBUS Pro and Knight's Armament Micro work fine, but the Troy, Diamondhead, and MBUS Gen II will not be able to clear the main body where the screw holes reside for the stock picatinny adapter. This means one or the other will have to be moved forward/back to get appropriate clearance. Another option is to use an Arisaka 300 Series Light Body or 600 Series Light Body, which will allow plenty of clearance. Purchased for a stream light 2l-x and I can’t figure it out** A: For the 2L-X, you would need a ring mount. This mount is only for the picatinny rail mount light models. You remove the picatinny clamp which will expose two screw holes. The light mounts up directly to the Arisaka mount. **Q: Will this work with the streamlight protac 2? I cant seem to get it to fit properly. The light extends past and covers the hex screws for mounting?** A: This mount will NOT work with the Streamlight ProTac series light. I purchased one based on all of the reviews saying it was compatible. Even with the tail cap removed from the light, it blocks the first KeyMod alum bolt. Had to return mine. **Q: What’s the distance between the holes?** A: Doesn’t matter. It works with any M-Lok compatible rail and only with lights that use scout mounts (Surefire, Arisaka, Modlite). **Q: Are these genuine Arisaka mounts? I don't see the milled logo in the picture provided.** A: If you buy from Rock Mountain Tactical, then yes, these are 100% genuine Arisaka accessories. Arisaka has had many iterations of their parts, some may or may not still have the logo milled into it in the same spot as before.
