It came in an open front box so you can see the gift when you unwrap it which makes it better. The machine needed some slight assembling. You have to open up take parts out from back then sort of close it again using little clips to hold it in place. It’s a really good size for a pretend washer. My daughters was much smaller. It is like having his own little wash room with the shelf and baskets to store washing. The machine spins and makes all the sounds. The drawer opens to pretend to fill it with detergent (he filled it with smarties lol) him and all the other small kids thoroughly enjoyed playing with the machine. I’d definitely recommend.
