Dark Walnut Stain love it!
LOVE this stain! Matches the color as advertised, I was staining my cats outside perch from a cheap looking wood to a more expensive looking dark color. LOVEEE how it turned out! Very tedious but worth it. It was my first time diy w stain so I was a bit nervous. I used a 200 grit sander sanded well on both sides and edges, felt smooth. Applied Wood conditioner let it sit 18 mins. Applied the Dark Walnut stain color for an hour and a half came out PERFECT I love it. Had to wait a bit longer since it was such a light wood color but I’m super happy with how it turned out. Hope this helps someone! ( I put plastic covering underneath the t shirts don’t worry guyz (;

Love this shade for wood.
Perfect to seal natural wood. Is a very dark shade with cool undertones.

Dark brown long lasting stain.
I bought this same brand and color wood stain for all of the wood molding in the house and for the ceiling wood beams when we remodeled our house 8 years ago. The color has lasted and it still looks beautiful. Bought it again because we are te painting the inside of the house and we are going to paint the molding and beams once again. I love this product and totally recommend it. I am not being paid for this review.

Great finish, beautiful color
I use this stain and the golden oak stain (same manufacturer) to finish my barrel stave projects. I love the color it gives white oak. It spreads evenly and dries quickly. It highlights grain as well or better than any other stain I've used. This is my go-to brand. I will continue using this stain for future projects. I have no complaints -- it's a great product.

Easy to Apply
I used this stain on some small birch plywood cabinets ("Moppe") from Ikea. It was my first time using any stain, and it was extremely easy to apply. All I had to do was wipe on with a cloth, wipe off well, and set it out to dry. My project came out somewhat blotchy, with very natural looking constrasty grain - a very rustic look. I actually wanted a more subdued grain, and from what I understand, this could have been achieved by using a wood conditioner first. If you don't want a rustic look, you may want to look into using a wood conditioner. The stain came out very matte. I ended up applying two coats of Minwax Antique Oil finish after staining to get a little bit more shine and to add a little protection. The light gloss made the wood pop a lot more. All in all, pleased with the results. Though I like the outcome by itself, the Dark Walnut finish is very dark, has a cooler color, and did not fit in quite well with my other furniture. If I could do it again, I would choose a lighter, warmer color. If you buy this stain, make sure to pick the right color stain.

Works well -- not available locally anymore
This is a solid stain that I have been using for many years. Sure there are better quality products out there for more money but for my needs -- as a garage woodworker -- this has always fit the bill. I was trying to match a stained table top that I built many years ago however the local orange box store no longer carries this brand. Amazon had it and a similar price. Lot of color options as well these days. Solvent based so I always use outside or in a well ventilated area.

Professional
MinWax is for me the best. I do wood working and only use this product. It goes on easily and always gives me the results I am looking for.

Long drying time
The instructions for use on the tin were covered by a hard to remove sticker in Polish. The drying time was way too long for internal staining work. Good coverage and colour achieved.
