Milwaukee Electric - Circular Saw

Excellent saw, guard catches most of the cops and cuts steel like no other.

Many years ago I had purchased a cheap foreign made metal cutting saw and the drive shaft snapped on the first cut. I had stayed away from the metal cutting saws for many years after that, but recently I had another situation where I needed a saw for cutting steel and decided to give the Milwaukee a try. The saws does not disappoint, but you really want the 12ah battery for best performance. The only downside is, in spite of having a chip catcher, a considerable amount of chips still get sprayed around. The saw is best used outside.

Awesome saw, but you have to setup a guide sense you can't see the blade while cutting. Clean cuts and cuts effortlessly thru 1/2 inch steel. I would also get the 12ah forge battery if you're going to be cutting a lot.

Cuts steel faster than a regular circular saw can cut a wooded 2x4. Does make a mess of fine chips, but it catches nearly all of them in it's own retainment reservoir. Just have to remember to dump it once on a while.

Purchased this metal cutting saw for my business, and because the price couldn’t be beat! There was a little hiccup with the shipping at first, but they responded to my messages quickly and took care of things. I would purchase from this seller again. The saw itself is exactly what you’d imagine of Milwaukee. It’s slightly bigger than the carpenter saw, mostly wider. It feels good in the hand and all its moving parts function smoothly. Not too heavy given it’s a metal cutting saw, and it’s built durable just like all my other Milwaukee Fuel tools.

We do a lot of steel frame decks and this saw is pretty awesome. The weight is fine and it cuts good. The only thing I would recommend is for the rpms to be a little less. I have an Evolutions saw that cuts a lot slower. It's a good deal heavier but the blades last about twice as long.

This thing is an absolute beast! I’ve ripped through several sheets of 1/4 inch diamond plate steel like it was plywood. Super powerful, smooth, and built like a tank. Honestly, I wish I’d bought it sooner it’s a little pricey, but worth every single penny. Milwaukee nailed it with this one!

Why didn’t I buy one of these years ago? Solid tool, cuts well with the correct blade! Eats through 1/2 plate no problem. Batteries are expensive but worth it to not have to be tied to a power cord.
