Battery isolator switch
Nice little selector switch. Installed this on my Lund boat when I added a second battery. Allows each battery to be selected individually, both connected at the same time, or totally disconnected from the system. Always worked with no problems.

Works perfectly for my application
This seems to be a high quality switch from a trusted brand. I use it to switch between two house batteries in my VW Westfalia Syncro Camper Van, or to combine both if needed. It also allows me to disconnect both batteries when needed, during wiring or electrical maintenance for example. I will say that it would have been nice to have a set of mounting bolts, however since it can be mounted in various configurations, I can see why they didn't include bolts since they'd have to supply several sets for the various mounting options. I mounted mine to a thin piece of wood in one of my cabinets initially with wood screws, but had to purchase some actual nuts/bolts/washers for a secure fit. Turning the knob to the various positions puts some serious torque on the unit, so a secure mounting job is required and the original wood screws in the pictures didn't last long. If you are mounting to a thicker panel, regular screws might work. Of course, you may want to mount it in one of the different configurations. Wiring is straight forward and I trust this will function for a very long time. Both batteries connect to the switch, which in turn powers a Blue Sea Systems ST Blade ATO/ATC Fuse Block, (https://amzn.to/2ZgpiPw - see picture) which in turn powers all the various and numerous 12v accessories in my van. This makes a great match for safely routing 12V throughout the van using two batteries. I'll update this review should the unit fail or give me problems in the future, but for now, I'm super happy. I could have spent a little less on a lesser known brand of switch, as there are many choices on Amazon, but Blue Sea Systems has a great reputation and I felt like it was worth a few extra bucks. I really don't want to burn down my van due to some cheap electrical switch!

Nice, well made, smaller size switch
Most of the negative reviews on this switch are based on the older model. It has been redesigned and appears to be very well made and sturdy. Time will tell as I just installed mine and tested it. This is a fairly small switch, which is just what I wanted to mount on my Tracker Boat. We ran down the trolling motor battery several days in a row fighting wind all day. I added a back-up deep cycle battery and can now switch between batteries if we run into that situation again. It does not come with mounting bolts or a mounting template. The template I made didn’t work as well as planned as I had to widen some of the drilled holes. I should have flipped the switch upside down to align & drill the holes instead of relying on the template as they would have been perfect that way. I need to go back and adjust the alignment to center the switch in the mounting hole. Mounting it required four #10 x 2-1/2” (3/16” diameter) stainless steel machine screws and SS lock nuts. For panel mounting a 2-5/16” hole is required. From a design standpoint, I expected the Output (Load) to be the center stud and the battery terminals to be the studs on either side of it like the switch’s positions. It is designed with Battery 1 beneath the 1 position on the switch, battery 2 is under the 1+2 position and the load is under the Battery 2 position (see labeling on attached photos).

Great solid switch. Can select between battery one two or both
High quality battery cutoff switch. Would I like about this one is we put two large capacity lithium batteries in a sprinter van if you need to switch over to one particular battery you can or just switch it to both. Of course you really want to stay on both so they stay balanced but it's nice to have that feature just in case of an emergency or for some reason you had to bring one up higher than the other one if it was lagging. Very solid switch that's the second one I bought. Also like that you can make it surface mount with the case that comes with it or take off the box case and submerge it into a wall which we did. Very good quality product

Its made of plastic. Will break if you over tighter.
Works well, but didn't over tighten it. I broke the plastic near the post #1 on mine. Find a SS nut that will fit on the bottom so that your connection (cable) is in between the two.

Awesome little swtich...emphasis on little
I used this for the dual battery set up on my truck and have very little to complain about. It's well built and pretty simple. There are three posts on the back: one for battery one, another for battery two and a common post that runs the ignition, accessories, etc. I like this particular one because it easily fit in the dash of my truck, has an off position to kill the engine in an emergency and the 1+2 position allows me to jumpstart myself if necessary. Really I only have 2 complaints: 1. The front slides into a rear cover and the two are held together by four long, narrow bolts and nuts. These aren't included...I had to dig around Home Depot for 40 minutes and overspend on some basic hardware that, in my opinion, should have come with it. You'll want 4 skinny bolts about 2 and 1/4 inch long with matching nuts. If the bolts are too long clearance may be an issue depending on where you are mounting your switch. 2. The post are very close together and there is little clearance between the end of the post and the rear cover. Fortunately you can leave 1-4 of the sides off to accomodate the wiring. I had three 2 gauge wires (one on each post) along with two 10 guage wires (on post 1 and 2 going to my battery isolator) and a 6 gauge wire (on the common post feeding the fuse block) which was a VERY tight fit. Again, this is just because it's a small switch, but beware if anybody is going down that same road.

Top quality
Blue Sea components are high quality for use in RV DC battery setups I'm using this to accommodate two battery bank solar setup in my camper. This 4-way switch allows me to select either or both batteries based on the switch position with no disruption of power while switching between banks.

best battery switch out there
best battery switch out there, they cost a tiny bit more, but i wouldn't consider anything else. been around the marine business 15+ years and these are the only ones i trust. very good solid built switches, the only other ones that come close to this in quality is a perko, but they're huge and have terrible routing options in and out of their ugly huge housings, so it's a no brainer. go with this nice compact one by blue sea, you won't be disappointed
