At some point just turned it off and switched to external Thunderbolt SSD enclosure. No issues on that one.Now you have to pay $120 every year to use the software (as you HAVE TO UPGRADE for each major Mac OS Upgrade, so yeah, not optional).Straight up scam. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Other Solutions are better *by E***. on Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2023* Currently I have had softraid working quite well for a while before a upgrade. I went to replace one bad hard drive and SoftRaid then showed 3 of my 4 hard drives (missing). After researching it it looks to be a problem a handful of people are having.There solution was there was none. All data is lost. They had me wait 4 days before they replied we read your log file and don't see any errors. You cannot re add your drives to the raid array.Recreated the same raid and now I am having the system remove permissions or folders disappearing completely. Data getting corrupted.When it works it works as intended. When it doesn't work it's a nightmare and a huge data risk. If my experience doesn't improve I will have to find another solution. Previously I used on board motherboard raid and that worked flawlessly for years. 1 month with these guys and I wish I never started.Software is basic with few options and works only half the time. Find another solution of you don't plan on backing up.
