So, I thought I'd test it straight out the box.... And, 3 hrs later, there I was. Still testing....
I really can't fault this controller. Straight out the box, hooked the Wi-Fi dongle to a spare USB and thought I'd give Tomb Raider Remastered a shot.... And, as the title relays - 3 hrs later, there I was, still testing Tomb Raider. Purely in the interests of investigative rigour, naturally. What particularly impressed me is the fact I have a really dodgy USB multiport - only thing I can plug into - just not enough USB's on the front of my PC - and the connection didn't drop once. I can hook up my tablet, and it will drop the connection multiple times in a row (even with a new cable, which turns out to have been a waste), but the connection between the dongle and controller worked seamlessly throughout. I'm set up on an old Win 7 machine, nothing fancy - Windows detected the dongle and loaded the necessary drivers perfectly. Also tested on my PS3 - worked like a charm, just like it says on the box. The controller can function with a number of built-in emulators, you can just switch between each if necessary. I didn't have to, but the option is there if you need it. Haven't tried it on Android yet, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work. Should that be a problem, I'll update this review. Build wise, the controller itself is actually very good. Nothing flimsy, both sticks are very responsive, D-Pad works just like on a PS3 - buttons all function. You can map the controller's TURBO function to any button, as necessary - shoulder buttons are both sharp and responsive, as you would expect. I've paid more for authentic games controllers and this has more functionality with no discernable decrease in performance. There's no off or on button, you just hook up the dongle to your device, your device loads the appropriate drivers - that's it, just press connect on the controller same as you would on a regular console controller. Switching off consists of either ejecting the dongle from the USB on your PC or else powering down your regular console. The Controller will switch itself off after 30 seconds of no signal - it also has a sleep mode if connected to save battery. All very neat, very easy. Charging is via a USB-B to C cable. If connected to the USB on a PC/Console/Device, full charge should take around 2 hours - the indicator lights on the handset will flash throughout charging and stay lit once fully charged. If charging via a tablet/phone charger, the indicator lights will flash throughout charging and switch off when fully charged - it distinguishes between power sources. In the interest of full disclosure I probably wouldn't have thought to splash-out on this at the price I paid - something around 40% off - making it perhaps indistinguishable from any other "cheap" game controller on the market, we're it not for the good reviews - I think deserving. Pleased I took the punt though, very pleased to have got it at a reduced price, though it's undoubtedly worth the full price value - it's just I probably wouldn't stretch to his full retail price on a punt. So, all in - a bit of a good purchase. If you're considering, I'd say definitely go for it while the price is reduced - I personally hate buying controllers because there's always such a hoo-ha about subjective value for money. However, under £20.00 for a wireless game controller is a good price, and in this instance definitely a smart purchase. Very pleased I don't have to throw my keyboard around in frustration any more, any time I play a PC game - and even more relieved is my keyboard. Double bonus points for this controller's connectivity with other devices, responsiveness and battery usage seems great, even straight out the box, it just works. TURBO mapping is just the icing on the cake waiting for a chance to dust off Peacewalker for. All in the name of investigative rigour, obviously....

Great replacement for the PS3 controller. No set up required.
Bought this as a replacement for one of my old PS3 controllers that's now covered in battery fluid. I was a bit hesitant because I know how finnicky PlayStations can be when it comes to foreign devices. The item arrives and I unbox it. So far so good. Very simple, just the controller, a reciever, and like a 3 page manual smaller than my palm. Literally no messing around was needed, I turned the PS3 on, plugged in the reciever, switched on the controller and bam, instant connect. The range of the controller was enough to span my entire living room, so that's good. PS3 USB ports are generally useless anyways so I don't mind at all having the receiver take up space. If you are using your USB slots for something else however then just keep that in mind. I decided the best way to check put the controller was to play some games, duh. Played a bunch, very responsive controller. It feels firm and solid, and the button presses feel good too. It doesn't really feel cheap at all. The shape is exactly like that of an Xbox controller, and compared to the PS3 controller this is much more ergonomical. I'm a tall guy with "piano hands" so when I play with PS controllers my fingers tend to extend and meet behind the controller. With this though it's very comfortable. The controller is also DualShock, vibrations also feel solid. Tried these out for a few hours for two days and it was still going strong. Great value for money, very glad I bought it. I will mention though that the receiver is made of very weak material and should be made a bit more sturdier. In one case, I almost snapped it when turning my PlayStation to put the cables in. My fault though and I won't be doing that again lol. I'll also mention the charging port is a little odd. I have tons of micro USB cables but none will fit this, as it's more an iPhone/Samsung S9/10 style of charger (kinda oval).

Nice controller, but confusing linux support (use Android mode, not Xinput/Dinput).
This controller feels great, doesn't seem to have dead zones as people complain about in other cheap xbox controllers, and I like the USB-C charging. I wasted a lot of time getting it working on linux, but it ended up working great. The key is to use Android mode, not Xinput or Dinput modes. Oblivious to the different modes, I tried to get this controller working on ubuntu 18.04. Another review posted how to get it working with xboxdrv, and that worked, though it was pretty annoying to use. There's a github pull-request to improve the support, but it's been ignored for ages. It worked on some games, but crashed others (some unity games don't like controllers with weird chars in the name), and didn't show up for steam's big picture mode. I then upgraded to ubuntu 20.04 and found it worked better, no xboxdrv needed anymore, but still had the annoyances. Once I read the manual in enough detail to realize there's are different modes, including an android mode, I noticed it just works natively and properly, and testing on ubuntu 18.04, works great there too. It works with all the games I tested without crashes, and including steam's big picture mode. For the annoyances mentioned above, once it works (ie ubuntu 20.04 or 18.04 with xboxdrv), depending on the mode, it'll show up with the wrong button order, with the triggers as buttons instead of axes, or with all the axes messed up. Make sure you use Android mode (bottom two LED lit) to avoid all that! Bumping to 4 stars now that it works, but only 4 stars because of the confusing manual that caused me to waste hours figuring out how to make it work.

Decent controller, but possibly flimsy buttons. Edit: Dongle broken in less than 1 year.
Edit: A little less than a year later, the dongle is broken. I did not use this controller heavily; in fact, I did not use it for an extended period of time (2 months or so) and the dongle is now broken seemingly for no reason. I am a little pissed that the dongle is this fragile; I did not expect it to break this quickly, if at all. A replacement from their official website is roughly 1/3 of the price of the controller. By using a USB-C data cable (one provided is charging only) you can still use the controller itself, though obviously it is now no longer a 'wireless' controller. Edit 2: Eventually, after some heavy usage, the joy sticks are now loose. Meaning, if you let go, they don't return to the centre. They can also get stuck if you push them to the end. It was still a good controller whilst it lasted. The good: A decent controller; good even for it's price. It works as intended; plug in the dongle and you are set. Using it wireless on the PC, I do not get the impression of there being any input lag. If you have a spare data cable lying around, you can also plug it in and it works as a wired controller (The cable provided is for charging only apparently). If the battery runs down, being able to use it wired is a plus. It being a wireless controller means I don't have to worry about tugging the wires, tripping over them or them starting to come loose and losing connection to the controller (like my previous 2 EasySMX wired ones). The bad: Whilst the thumbsticks and the D-Pad seem quite good, the buttons appear to be quite flimsy. The X Y A B buttons doesn't have much feel when pressing down; it goes down without much resistance. Some people might like that, but I prefer the buttons having a more pronounced "click" when being pressed. And if you push the buttons harder after it's already been pressed, it actually goes down even further; I worry the buttons will one day just refuse to spring back up. And those of us that pushed the buttons rather aggressively might find this to be a bit annoying. The LB RB and LT RT seem to be made of cheap plastic which is quite worrying. Having previously bought 2 wired EasySMX controllers, in both cases the LB and RB buttons broke; The buttons themselves still function, but the plastic part which allow the button to spring back up snapped from pressing it too much (not unexpected when using cheap plastic). I am hoping these buttons here do not fall to the same fate; only time will tell. But overall, it IS a decent controller. Wireless with no input lag, easy to use, plug and play but also capable of being used wired, comfortable to hold and half the price compared to official Xbox controllers.

Great controller especially for the price!
I enjoy using emulators on my laptop and also play with a PS3, however one of my controllers for my PS3 has become faulty, so I was looking for a new one. Pros: Really easy to use, needs charging with the USB cable provided, then just plug in the mini receiver and get playing. Whilst it was charging from my laptop, I was able to plug in the receiver and begin using it for the emulators on my laptop simultaneously. The controller was perfect for emulating PS1 and PSP games! I didn’t even need to map the buttons to use it on either emulator! Using it with the PS3 is the same, just plug the receiver into the USB slot and away you go, the wireless range is pretty good too, I was comfortably using across the room. The controller is comfortable to use and is very similar to the xbox 360 controllers of old. It is completely responsive and sensitive to everything I press. In terms of battery life I’ve used it for several hours since it’s first charge and haven’t yet needed to charge it again. Cons: No problems with the controller at all which I’m pleased about. Overall: I’d highly recommend this controller as I am very happy with it, especially for the price!

Fantastic Controller
EasySMX Wireless Rechargable Controller, Initially I was looking for a replacement controller for my PS3 after dusting it off for a bit of nostalgia. I was never too impressed with the official SIXAXIS PS3 controller, I much prefer the Xbox 360 control pad and the PS4. [I know you can use PS4 controllers with PS3] I'm always apprehensive with third party or after market controllers as they always feel like cheap imitations and nothing more. So I was a little cautious about buying, but thought it's nothing lost. Well, I paired it up with my PS3 straight out the box with absolutely no issues at all and I've been using it for a few days now. I also tested it with Steam and Windows 10 recognises the controller with no issues. Steam in game just recognises it as a standard Xbox One controller which is fantastic. About the build quality, well... that's fantastic too. It doesn't feel cheap, it's sturdy, it feels solid to hold and ergonomically & stylistically it's pretty much just the same as a standard Xbox One controller, with just a little less weight in the hand. The buttons are solid and responsive and the analogue sticks and sharp and accute. I'd go so far as saying I actually prefer this over the standard Xbox One controller. The anologue sticks on the EasySMX have more surface area for thumb contact than the Xbox One controller. A small added welcome that I nearly forgot, the controller charges with USB-C which is nice. (Cable included) In summary, this turned out to be a purchase well worth the price and I'll be ordering a second immediately. Highly recommended.

Probably the most infuriating piece of tech I've ever owned.
Do you like controllers that will randomly, for absolutely no reason at all, have their drivers stop working and not be fixable no matter what you do? Then boy, is this a controller for you! This controller is amazing when it works. The price is great, it's USB C which is great. It even has a damn nice feel to it for a cheap controller that would make me fall in love with this thing. And I pretty much did, whenever I would forget about the sheer mental anguish this thing instils into me once it stops working. I have had this thing stop working about 3 or 4 times now since I bought it, over a year and a half ago. All times except now, I've been able to just about get it working again after a day or two of troubleshooting. This time? Nope. The problem is something to do with the drives, except there's almost nothing you can do about it. Sure, you can uninstall the drivers, and then put the dongle back in and cross your fingers. Maybe it'll work, maybe it wont! I've had it work once before, but not again! Maybe a PC restart fixes it, or maybe it doesn't. Maybe restarting your PC causes it, who knows! Maybe, if you are really unlucky like I once was, it'll only work if its PARTIALLY plugged into a USB port, and only one SPECIFIC port. But not this time, this time I've done everything under the sun to get this thing to work. Uninstalling the drivers, and trying to force it to use Xbox controller drivers? nope. Uninstalling the drivers, then installing EasySMX's own drivers for it which aren't even remotely easy to find and haven't been updated since 2017? Did nothing. Uninstalling drivers, unplugging it, restarting the PC, and then plugging it all back in? Yup! just kidding, nope. Only plugging it in when a game is launched, or partially plugged into one port, or trying USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, or literally any other bizarre gimmick that shouldn't have an affect on if the damn thing works or not? Yeah I've tried them all and no, it still doesn't work. It's not just me, I've seen enough forum posts online of people also having these issues that its convinced me that I should probably steer clear from ANYTHING this company puts out, which is a massive shame as the controller was otherwise perfect for me. If you don't mind the risk of this happening, then go ahead and buy one. But trying to fix this has genuinely caused me a significant amount of stress and I can't at all recommend anyone spends their money on this unless they're willing to just throw it away and buy a new one if it stops working.

Quick, smooth, great battery life
Initially I wasn't sure - the shape and controls are similar to a regular Xbox One controller but just different enough to feel a little awkward in the hand. After a couple of weeks, however, I would now say the same about the Xbox controller - I'm just using this one all the time! Battery life is superb - I have never had it run out on me in a gaming session and I often don't charge it for a few days. Joysticks and buttons are all crisp and precise. The 2.4Ghz USB stick seems to provide a rock-solid connection - it's never let me down. I did find the extra buttons, on the underside of the controller, a little annoying so I remapped them to do nothing. I guess they could be a bonus for some but not for me. Remapping is pretty easy - it took only a couple of minutes. Great controller, well recommended.

Gute Preis-Leistung

Great little controller
A little small, but overall a great wireless controller. The USB C charger makes a works of difference, and if the thing is totally dead it becomes a (short) wired controller. Havnt tried it it with any game systems but it works for pc right out of the box. Feels sturdy but I wouldn't rage throw it across the room.
