There’s a strap underneath that you can attach or not, depends on how far back you are comfortable with the incline. I don’t use it but my cat loves playing with it. There are 2 types of storage positions the first is easiest but takes up a bit more room and the second takes up little room bit getting it into the position is kind of a pain. Over all I am happy with this model. If you plan on using this for years to come then take the time and monies to buy the inversion table you want. It is helping relieve some of the pain and issues I am having and lasts for several hours. Luckily I am working from home so I can do this several times a day. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you have leg pain related to back disk problems, get this table! *by C***L on October 18, 2020* UPDATE: I’ve now used this inversion table for over 30 days and am completely pain free and back to walking 3 miles a day. I’ve used this for about 3 weeks now, I wanted to wait a month before I did my review but there is no need to wait, I already know how well it works. I’ve had disk problems for a few years, when I first started having issues I ignored it until I had no choice but emergency surgery. When my symptoms started again I knew I could not ignore it this time so I ordered the Teeter X3 model. It was shipped very quickly and because I’m not far from where they ship from, it only took a couple of days. The table arrived and because it’s heavy, the box was showing signs of stress. However, it was very well packaged and strapped so there was absolutely no damage to to table. The CD they include for assembly instructions did not work and the BILT app they suggest is a waste of time, it doesn’t work any time I’ve tried to use it. The printed instructions were very easy to follow and there really isn’t that much to assemble anyway so I had it completed within 30 minutes without any issues. I started using it 3 times a day at only 10% inversion for about 2 to 3 minutes a session. I then gradually increased to now I do 5 minutes at 45 degree inversion 2 or 3 times a day. I only use this when someone is in the house, I feel it’s a good precaution just in case you need help for any reason. Now my symptoms are about 98% gone, I’m back to walking every day and I’m up to over a mile and a half. When I got the Teeter, I couldn’t walk a quarter mile. Inversion decompression works! If you have disk problems like I do, you should try this, it could change your life. I purchased the X3 model and I’m very glad I made that choice, having the ankle release up higher is definitely the option well worth having. Picture yourself reaching all the way down to your ankles after being inverted for 5 minutes! Plus having the longer bars are very helpful getting back up. When I use it I can feel myself stretching and the smooth table is perfect for that, I don’t think a padded table would work as well for that reason. I had to email Teeter customer service about an issue I had right after it shipped but before I received it and they were absolutely the best to deal with. They handled my issue fast and better than I could have hoped for.
