Lease disassembled after less than 10 usage's

The leash very comfortable & the elastic is great Used for sup surfing In waves up to 3 feet. Before the last surf whan I took the sup out & noticed the layer connection broke down. Disappointed ! I don't feel safe using it as it is (the knitting is intact) !
