*UPDATE* I was contacted & sent a replacement that connected. I had the same issues at first, but after a couple days, I tried it again, & the device connected! Now that it is working, it's perfect for what we need. The video quality really is great & functions properly thus far. Changed from 1 star to 5. -------------- I bought this camera to use as a baby monitor, despite the negative reviews, because so many others were having great luck... but sure enough, I get a defective product. It plugged in & the lights turned on as it should (solid blue power light, blinking red wifi light, then once wifi button is pressed for 3 sec it became a blue blinking wifi light), I was able to download the app and add the device. However, when it came to connecting the camera to my wifi, it would not connect. I tried everything: power sourcing the camera, deleting and re adding the camera on the app, power sourcing my wifi modem, making sure my password is correct, trying to connect it to my unsecured wifi... nothing. I have emailed the company via the email address it provided for support when I signed up on the app & have called the technical support number on the box. No reply after 24 hrs from email & continuous ringing then automatic call end for the number.

These cameras work great. They are really for the inside of your home. I use them outside and have been for years and they work fine. Just don't put them where water can get in it. I have eight around my home.

I got this camera 4 months ago to keep an eye on my disabled husband when I have to run to the grocery store or when I am out side. At first I thought it was great. Now not so much. It is great that you can watch the camera from your phone ... but if you depend on it to let you know when there is movement in front of it do not buy it !!! When I set it up in the bedroom when he is there it sends me a notification every time the TV flashes brighter !! So annoying ... then I walk into the room right in front of it and it doesn't notify me that there is movement. I went out this morning to the store and it sent me a notification when I walked past it to leave. I have walked in front of it 5 times since I have been home and it has not notified me at all . It is connected to the WiFi I can see myself waving at it. Yet it still hasn't sent a notification. I have to know if he gets up from where he is ! He can not walk with out assistance and has brain damage and sometimes forgets and tries anyway ! Do not buy this if you are looking for a reliable camera !!

So I've had this for a few days now, and I love it. I use it to watch my infant in her crib. Before I was walking in every hour to check on her and chancing waking her up, but now I can just click on the app and keep an eye on her from downstairs! -The night vision is clear for closer images -It has motion detect so if you close the app and the little one moves, you will be alerted -Very clear picture in the light -Set up was a little complicated -microphone sounds a little robotic when you are talking or listening -if you don't have a place to sit it, you're going to have to screw it down. To get a good angle of our crib without putting holes in it, we superglued a suction cup onto the bottom.

We received this yesterday afternoon. We bought this so we can check on our pets and for when we go away. It took a long time to work out how to use it, it kept dropping the WIFI signal then freezing etc. Finally got it working, both my husband and myself have the app on our phones, mine is an iphone and hubbys is an android and both apps work fine, although I would say the app takes some getting used to. When I was away from my home I tried to look at the cameras but could not get connected. I will try again tomorrow and will change this review accordingly. The picture quality is second to none, excellent. The black and white picture is taken when there is low light/dark, in normal light you get color pictures. So far I know its early days which is probably why I am not that enthused with this camera I am sure with time I will get used to the little hiccups it has.

I bought this to keep an eye on my pups while I'm away from home. I foster dogs and like to see how well they deal with being crated and left alone. I'd like to start by saying that my review considers that this is a low price camera and, therefore, I know that this won't have crystal clear quality or a ton of cool features. In short, it works well. Video quality is pretty good (I'd compare it to SD) and night vision works really well. The two-way audio also works pretty well though I don't use it much. Also, the app works well and is simple to use. I do wish it captured a wider angle of the room but I knew it had a limited view going in. Also, I've found that if my Internet connection goes out, the camera doesn't always automatically reconnect. Sometimes I have to wait until I get home and unplug it, then plug it back in to "reset" it. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and have considered buying another.

This security cam is awesome! You can talk to your pet while you're at work. It snaps a picture when it detects motion. The only downside is the person has get close to the camera for it to snap the pic. It doesn't pick up animals unless it's low enough or angled downward. You got live recording and you can watch what's going on when you're not home. You can't beat the price either. Definitely a good buy. I'm buying another one.

App would not connect to Wifi - I bought the Piper NV system instead and it works perfectly. You get what you pay for they say. If you need something reliable for monitoring your children, valuables etc. then don't go cheap because you will regret it.
