Review: Very well built! Almost Bear Proof. - A North Georgia black bear got to my feeder. It ripped the feeder off the 2x4 stand it was screwed into, tore the cables off, and smashed a hole in it to get to the feed. Despite all that, I was able to repair the wiring, and the feeder still works! The electrical components are well built, the motor still functions, and it even kept my saved feeding schedule. I just need to tape up the large hole in the reservoir, and it should be good to go. It has been working great for over a year now. I'm glad the bears liked the fish food more than the fish!

**Q: The written manual says each portion is 35 seconds. But Amazon add says can be at 15 seconds. How can do this?**
A: The old version feeder is 35 seconds. The latest version feeder is 15 seconds. We will update the user manual next shipment.

**Q: How do you change the number of meals from the three in the factory preset?  I want to feed only once a day.**
A: Just set once, skip the other, don’t put a time and it will only feed once

**Q: How much 3.125mm (1/8”) pellets will it dispense using the dense auger (in grams or cup measurement) on shortest duration?**
A: I haven’t measured it but it seemed to me it was at least several tablespoons full up to a quarter of a cup on one dispense on the shortest time.  It seems they engineered this for very large ponds. I have a small backyard pond and only needed about a teaspoon of food three times a day.

**Q: Can I use if on a Fish tank ?**
A: No, it is waaaaay too big for a tank, pond use primarily, I have a 4500 gal pond and it is large for my pond!

This product looks to be good quality and is well built. You need to really study the instructions to understand the programming. It helps to know that feeding time is on the hour on a 24 hour clock. Feeding time is broken up into 24 possible daily start times which are shown as numbers from 1-24. Be aware that it is an overhung load and if your pond deck is cement or rock, you will need a masonry bit and drill. The supplied base anchor screws are too short to work on anything in my opinion and I needed new ones to properly anchor the machine. The original anchors pulled right out of the rock and it fell in the water. Also do not buy if you feed flake food, it is really only designed to work well on pellets.
