These solve problems you don't know you have yet.
I bought my first pack of these based on the recommendation from a youtube channel, Adam Savage's Tested to be precise.I was planning a trip and I needed a method of cable management for all of the charging cables I was taking with me and they did the job very well. Then I need to mount a flashlight to a camera stand and they did that job quite well. Then I needed a method of keeping my cell and my charger together in my backpack as I trekked through NYC... and they did that job quite well. This trend continued for quite some time. After 2 years of use the only problem I have with Bongo ties is that they tend to walk away with friends, coworkers, and family members. Beyond one that I was using in a sacrificial manner I haven't even seen one fail, they walk off too quickly. This is a good problem to have.

Alternative to Velcro for Audio Cables
Probably won't last as long as Velcro but convenient for holding audio cables to microphone stands etc

Terrible product after years of good stuff
Terrible purchase, I'm offended by such poor quality. I've been using Bongo Ties for many years, and despite their relatively short lifespan, I've always been happy using them. This time, however, as soon as I opened the package and held them in my hands, I immediately noticed the extremely poor quality of the elastic, to the point that they all broke without being able to use them. I don't understand why a leading manufacturer in this sector would have to decline so much in product quality. Reconsider your decision; they were the right ones, otherwise you'll lose a lot of customers.
