The grip wrap on this looks like it is just finished with black electrical tape while the other paddles I bought had raised cushioned grips and the wrap was finished with a higher quality rubber retaining ring. This paddle is ok but I found that I could buy paddles built with better finishing for less. However the paddle itself functions as it should and is light weight and functional as advertised.
