How do you adjust the plunger there is no tool to use supplied whats the secret

You do not have to adjust it, This model is fitted to the outside of the door only, with the door closed measure the face of the door between the left and right frames and cut the bar to the size required, min 780mm. (Note: the facing chamfered cap clips of and the but end must be fitted at the hinged side of the door) You may have to minor trim 2-3 mil for fine adjustment. Remember the butt has to be depressed in its recess when fitted into place Ideally with the door closed. hope this explains it for you.

Does this seal work to prevent water ingress?

It is called Stormguard as that is who the manufacturer is, it is designed to reduce the smoke and draught in the event of a fire, it may help reduce the engress of rain and wind, but will not stop runing water coming under your door, for that you need a weather/ ruber seal designed to stop water ingress from out side rain i.e. a raised threshold.
