Because I was going to wear these shoes without socks I went for the 8 to 8.5 size and they fit well. I cannot decide if they are a little large however, because the top of the shoe does not touch my foot, and when I walk fast (an almost jogging pace) it feels like I'm going to come out of them. NB I have very skinny feet. There is ample room in the toe box and they're not tight at the heel. I can sometimes step into them to slip them on. There is no support at all, but I didn't expect any with this type of shoe. Regardless, they are still comfortable and cool when walking on a warm day. I haven't worn them in rain and don't think I plan to do so. They also fold almost flat, so they are easy to pack. I walked around the island of Capri for a day in these shoes once and was fine (I only covered about four miles, however). When I typically wear them it is only for three or maybe four hours at a time, to give some context to this review.

Falls apart within 30 days.
Bought this shoe to take on vacation. Great looking espadrille. But Stitching and glue came undone within a month. Do not recommend.

Nice looking Espadrilles
I was motivated to buy these based on an article on dressing to visit Las Vegas. The article suggested that Espadrilles are much more stylish than flip-flops when you are poolside. I totally agree. I like the looks of these Espadrilles and they are very comfortable.

Loose on top of foot
I’m a brannock size 8.5 men’s, I got the size 8-8.5. Length and width is acceptable, but could be a quarter of an inch tighter to make it perfect. The top of the foot is incredibly loose, enough to put a finger on top. This makes it awkward when walking fast, uphill, or taking the stairs. The way the upper and the sole are stitched gives the shoes a very wide ground contact. The other espadrilles I’ve owned, the upper shrinks when wet and left out to dry. I won’t be “shrinking” it because they will be returned, but I’m sure these will shrink when given the treatment.
