## Overview

Kikkoman Rice Vinegar is a premium, kosher-certified vinegar with 4.2% acidity, offering a mild, slightly sweet flavor ideal for enhancing a wide range of cuisines. Its zero-calorie, fat-free formula makes it a healthy, versatile choice for salad dressings, pickling, and cooking, all packed in a convenient 10 fl oz bottle.

## Description

Kikkoman Rice Vinegar is milder in flavor than other vinegars. There is also a hint of sweetness from the rice it is made from. The well-balanced acidity is excellent as an addition not only to Asian but also to Hispanic, European and American dishes. The higher vinegar content of white rice vinegar makes it the best choice for sweet and/or tangy dishes, for salad dressings and for pickling vegetables. Use it in place of wine vinegar or lemon juice! With zero fat and no calories, Kikkoman Rice Vinegar is a healthy way to add flavor to your dishes. It is versatile for using in any recipe.

Review: Good product will buy again. - Good value good product normal bottle size good quality product. Arrived without leaking
Review: This is the unseasoned kind that is best for most recipes - The exception here might be sushi rice, which I really don't make, but I think sushi rice calls for sugar and salt, which may be why "seasoned" rice vinegar has sugar and salt in the ingredients list. Regardless, I am not looking to incidentally add more sugar and salt to whatever recipe. Less processing is better, and most recipes that call for rice vinegar, mean just plain rice vinengar. I have a number of different vinegars in my cupboard - rice, apple cider, balsamic, red wine, white wine, and good ol' distilled, and they aren't really interchangeable without changing the character of the recipe, at least a tiny bit. There are some reasonable substitutions - I'd pick mildly sweet and mellow apple cider vinegar, or balanced and mild champagne vinegar if I find myself flat out of rice wine. I might even experiment with one of my more agressively flavored vinegars (malt? White basalmic?) and see if it might be good, understanding that it won't be the same. But in the kitchen, it helps to start with the baseline of knowing how the real thing tastes in a recipe. And then play. Kikkoman tastes good, as good as other varieties I've tried. I think it's worth having a little 10 oz bottle like this in the cupboard, especially if you don't know what the substitution will do to your recipe. And it's really good for salad dressings, so even if I'm not on an asian cusine kick, I have no problem using it up.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: This is called ‘seasoned’ rice vinegar. Is there much of a difference between regular rice vinegar and seasoned?**
A: Yes, seasoned rice vinegar is rice vinegar that already has sugar and salt in it and ready to add to Japanese style rice to make sushi rice.

**Q: Is there corn syrup in it?**
A: None mentioned on the label. But, a lot of salt.

**Q: Is this packaged in a glass or plastic bottle?**
A: Ships in a glass bottle. Word of warning: the seal on the bottle was actually broken for me. So, it arrived in a small pool of vinegar.

**Q: Is the bottle plastic or glass?**
A: Glass
