My neighbor uses these and put me on to them. I live in Florida and small (few seconds at a time are not unusual). These devices have a built in delay before supplying power to the device plugged into it. I used one each of these on my washing machine and dishwasher. After power cuts, there are often spikes on the line...these devices (with their delay circuit) should protect the devices plugged into them from those spikes. For my fridge/freezer in the kitchen and the freezer in the garage, I have Anker Solix S2000s (these act as a UPS also). When I first plugged these small devices in, the amber light went on indicating a delay in progress (expected). After the delay (3M from memory), a chime sounds and the green LED goes on to indicate normal service is resumed. Seems like an excellent idea to protect relatively expensive devices. I was impressed enough with these that I bought one for the microwave immediately. That is now installed.

I've ordered quite a few of these to put on major appliances. What I like about them is as soon as the power is lost they activate to disconnect power to the appliance. This is more useful when you have those blips of power. During on of our crazy storms in Texas the lights kept blipping on/off quickly, and these devices will keep the device off for a few minutes so they don't just keep coming back on too fast. This probably helps newer appliances that have more electronics in them.

One light works perfectly. The other is intermittent. I will keep it due to. It’s more of a hassle to return.

Bought these after spending $1700 on a new washer and dryer. The old LG dryer board went out (12 yrs old), tried to replace it but still had issues. MAKES perfect sense, it's basically a computer board also. I have surge protectors on all if not most electronics in the house but it never dawned on me for the washer. These were a bit pricey at 42 but after spending 1700 was a no brainer and are especially made for the washer and fridge. I hope I never need to doubt it. PLUS, it regulates voltage for brown outs as well, what not to like. And the device is angled to minimize space needed behind the fridge, washer not so much a big deal.

I live in an area where we experience many power failures and power surges. Power surges can really mess your electronics in appliances and cost you an enormous amount of money. These little divises protect your most expensive appliances, fridge and washing machine. An expenses well worth the price.
