Product Description Iron Test Kit Determines the dissolved Iron concentration in water by conversion of the Iron Present in to it's ferrous (Fe2+) state. The test is fast, easy and safe. The color chart makes it simple to obtain the iron level in water. Iron Test Kit (0.05-2 mg/L) Number of Tests - 175 Iron is present in nature in the form of its oxides, or in combination with silicon or sulfur. The soluble iron content of surface waters rarely exceeds 1 mg/L, while ground waters often contain higher concentrations. The Indian Drinking Water Standard for iron is 0.3 mg/L, as iron concentrations in excess of 0.3 mg/L impart a foul taste and cause staining. High concentrations in surface waters can indicate the presence of industrial effluents or runoff. Test Your Water Iron is a naturally occurring mineral found in water especially groundwater which has come in contact with iron-containing rock or soil. Insoluble iron can clog valves and strainers and can cause excessive sludge build up in low lying areas of a water system. It also leads to boiler deposits that can cause tube failure. Suspended or dissolved iron coming in the feed water will also deposit on the boiler metal. Checking iron in boiler and cooling water helps to monitor corrosion level in water. Gives a Clear Red Colour Result A QUASOL Ir on Test gives a clear red colour result which is then compared with the colour chart provided. Directions For Use 1. Take 1 ml Of water sample to be tested in the test jar 2. Add 15 Drops of FE1 and 30 drops of FE2 3. Mix the contents thoroughly 4. Add One spoonful(Provided herewith)of FE3 and mix the contents thoroughly by swirling the test jar and let the mixture stand for 10 minutes 5. Transfer the content in small comparator tube provided here 6. Read the ppm IRON as FE after Arriving at the correct match. (a) place the comparator tube on the small inner (white) circle, on the colour comparison chart (b) View from the top of the comparator tube to compare the sample colour and the colour around (c) Match the colours by moving the tube from one circle to another (d)Read the ppm IRON as Fe after arriving at the correct match.
