Z-Wave Outlet Plug-in Socket, Smart Plug, 1 On/Off Outlet & 1 Alway On Outlet, Z Wave Hub Required, Built-in Repeater, Works with SmartThings, Wink, Alexa, Google Assistant

I have a smart home system through a local heating & air company. The equipment they installed and the website used to control it is “alarm.com”. I wish I’d known their tricks before purchasing their system as, for one, they make it VERY difficult for you to find your own add-ons like outlets and sensors. I have tried to find they products they sell to the customers (like the intertek smart plug), but Intertek sells only to the “dealers” so the consumer is forced to purchase through the dealer middleman at a tremendous markup. We’re talking really big markup. Huge. I have searched and searched for the add-ons I want. While there are several brands of z-wave products available, many just won’t pair with the alarm.com system. Don’t know the science behind it but can assure you they just don’t pair. This Evalogik z-wave smart plug paired with my alarm.com system on the first try! No fuss. It was quick, easy, and it works! Super happy to have found this! Will buy more Evalogik products.

I'm using this Z-Wave outlet switch in a Smartthings system. Everything works perfectly and it was easy to install. I've got this on a garage outlet I use to charge an ebike battery. Since the battery charger is cheap, I don't trust it not to overcharge to battery once the charging is complete so I use the Smartthings panel to tell the outlet to turn off x number of hours after I start the charge. I prefer Z-Wave devices like this as opposed to Wi-Fi. For me they are much more reliable and easier to install into my system. I also don't like having to have separate apps for each brand device. With Z-Wave, my Smartthings app controls everything and I can easily access my devices from Google Home as well.

It's been a year and it's still working with my Home Assistant Z-Wave setup using Z-Wave JS UI. A few fields are missing in the data it returns but the device works as a switch. Would be nice if they supported the open repo of firmware "Z-Wave JS Firmware Updates" that Home Assistant and several other home automation solutions use to make it easy for keeping your z-wave devices up to date automatically.

Connected to a Zwave mesh and an automation system (Google Home via Hubitat) it turns a decorative foyer light on at sunset and off at 11:00pm every day. So far it's been very reliable and I will buy some of the dimmers when I add lamps to my den.

I chose this model initially for being z-wave plus to act as repeater/ range extender to extend the range on another z-wave device that did not have enough range to reach my home assistant box. I plugged this unit in only a few feet from the other device but that device did not get better range. While this device has great range itself, it has connection reliability issue where you occasionally have to unplug it and plug it in again to regain the z-wave connection.

This device only worked for about 12 hours. After that it stopped responding to remote commands. I attempted to exclude and include it my z-wave network again with no luck. It also does not have a UL listing printed on the back.

Finally, a SmartThings plug that does all the connecting for you AND works! You do not need to download any additional apps to make this work, unlike the Wemo plugs. 1.) Simply open your Smartthings or AEOtec app; 2.) hit the "+" (add device) button; 3.) then plug this into an outlet, and SmartThings sees it. Done...thank goodness.

This is a wonderful z-wave switch. It is well constructed and a sleek design. It easily paired to my Vera hub in seconds. I also like the fact that it has both a dedicated outlet as well as a switched outlet. A dependable switch!
