Came with a replacement spring to help hold it together. Exactly what is needed when the starter threads on the end of a shaft or bolt need to be re-cut. A normal die will not do for this application.Worked great for un-boogering up the threads on the end of my lawn mower's crank shaft after I pounded on it trying to remove the flywheel (yeah, I know. I've done this before, and I thought I was being careful, but meh). I just fixed it on some good threads on the middle of the shaft, and slowly (with some machine oil and patience) turned the chaser up until it gets to the top of the shaft. Bingo!
