When mixed with the online lessons, it's almost like getting personal lessons . In some ways it's better, because one can progress at their own speed. I recommend it highly. It's especially helpful for people who have been taught in the traditional way to play written music only. It is so liberating to be freed from just playing the notes on a sheet music page.
